Chapter 363: A Convenient Brother-in-law (3) (1/2)
“I am not telling you.”
Lu Zhaoyang turned off the stove and served the last vegetable dish on the table.
The mood was right; it was her day off tomorrow.
Huo Yunting was blocking her way. Lu Zhaoyang nudged him with her elbow. “Wash your hands before dinner.”
There was a dish that stood out like a sore thumb. Neither of them liked the chicken feet.
Huo Yunting sat opposite her, staring at her with the chopsticks in his hands. He demanded an explanation.
Lu Zhaoyang compromised under his intense glare. “It is the tenant who lives upstairs. His surname is also Lu. We have met a few times. I helped him once, and he sent me this dish to say thank you. That’s all. Now, let’s eat!”
Huo Yunting secretly sneered. What younger brother? Perhaps he was up to no good.
“You are not eating?” Lu Zhaoyang asked. “You don’t like the dishes?”
Huo Yunting glanced at the chicken feet on the table. “Put it away. I cannot bear to see it.”
“Yes, your Excellency…” Lu Zhaoyang shot him a despising look and took the plate into the kitchen.
Huo Yunting was nowhere to be seen after Lu Zhaoyang washed the dishes after dinner.
Ten minutes later, Huo Yunting came back in from the outside. He seemed to be in a good mood again.
“Where have you been?” Lu Zhaoyang asked.
It was just a little boy on the fourth floor. So, his worry was uncalled for, he thought.
“Nothing, I just took a walk in the stairway to help with digestion.” Huo Yunting smiled as he wrapped his arms around her waist. “You cooked dinner for me. I will return the favor tonight.”
Lu Zhaoyang was flabbergasted.
What an asshole, she thought.
After a night of incredibly hot sex, the two sleep-tangled in bed until the next morning when the doorbell rang.
Lu Zhaoyang’s heart skipped a beat. She pushed Huo Yunting’s hand away from her waist. Just as she was about to get up, Huo Yunting pulled her back down.
