Chapter 75: Mop (1/2)
Just as expected, Ye Shangyu didn’t act politely towards him, “I’ll leave the cleaning to you.”
In response, Bai Yan just quietly nodded his head. Since Ye Shangyu’s hand was still gushing out blood, it would waste cleaning time and didn’t promise good outcomes for the two.
Moreover, these two were also deemed to have formed a fixed team. They’ve properly matched during this game and would continue to team up the next few ones.
Although they only had a measly ten minutes to finish the task, Bai Yan wasn’t in a hurry to clean.
He took in the whole scene of the women’s restroom, which was also dimly illuminated by a faint yellow light in the ceiling.
The ground was covered in white ceramic tiles, and these tiles were covered with thick and dusty footprints, looking remarkably filthy altogether. If they wanted to clean the floor spotless, they needed to expend a lot of effort just to do so.
After sweeping a glance at the area and examining Ye Shangyu who was quietly standing by the sink, Bai Yan picked up the mop and checked out his cleaning tools.
Thus, he found something wrong after picking it up. Where was the mop in this thing? This was only a dead human head!
Ye Shangyu quickly clogged the sinks with stoppers, letting the flowing liquids deposit in the basin and giving Bai Yan a clear view.
It was obvious with one glance that there was a pool of red blood and another pool of crystal clear water in the two sinks.
Their task was to clean the comfort room before the girls’ class was over. However, there were two types of ‘water’ in the restroom. Which one should they use for cleaning so that their efforts would be considered as truly clean?
According to the app’s game rules, generally speaking, encountering this sort of situation would mean you should choose the bloody water.
There were countless teachings in the forum that their predecessors have left for them. Inside the app’s game, when running into an indefinite plan, bloody and terrifying events will surely come their way.
However, experience does not necessarily represent everything. The forum was always under the app’s control, so if it was taking advantage of this kind of mindset among the players, then their playstyles would be standard, and they’d certainly act cruelly.
As a result, regardless of the ‘mop’s’ sharp shrieks, Bai Yan held the mop by the staff and dumped the female head onto the sink filled with clean water.
He dipped it into the water numerous times, letting the hair fully soak up the water.
Afterward, he turned the ‘mop’ upside down, directly facing the woman’s large hateful eyes onto the floor, letting its hair drenched in water touch the ground, using a bit of strength to drag it——
“Ahhhhhhh!! You two both deserve to die!!”
“In a moment, you’ll both be eaten by the young girls that are about to enter! I want them to also turn you into mops!”
The ‘mop’s’ howls pierced their ears, but the two’s brows didn’t budge.
During the storm of curses the mop was screaming, Bai Yan still had some thought on scouting some information from it, “Turning into mops… Sister, could you perhaps also be a player? It’s okay if you tell us that you died in the previous levels, at least there’s some dignity to it. Your head turned into a mop, still cleaning the comfort room after each passing day. I can hear how wronged you must have been.”
Immense sympathy was pouring out of Bai Yan’s mouth, but his face revealed him enjoying her misfortune.
The ‘mop’s’ large bell-shaped eyes glared at Bai Yan, naturally not being deceived by him from seeing the expression on his face, clear as day.
Noticing that Bai Yan was still using its head like a mop, its voice couldn’t help but become sharper.
A sudden ear-piercing shriek suddenly penetrated their ears, stinging the two’s eardrums.
Ye Shangyu heard the female ghost’s mournful wails and couldn’t stand it anymore, saying, “Stop teasing the ghost. In the end, it seems that using clean water won’t do.”
Time was running out quickly, and so, Bai Yan threw the mop’s head inside the bucket, looking directly at the comfort room sink.
A mirror was suspended on the wall behind the restroom sink.
Apart from that, the ‘mop’ making unpleasant noises while it was being dragged across the floor to clean, it was surprisingly better than a real mop.
He wiped away the filthy footprints left on the ceramic tile from before clean. So much so that light could be brightly reflected on them.
However, in the mirror, after cleaning the tiles with clear water, not only were the footprints still in sight, but they became even more of a muddy chaotic mess, preventing anyone to look straight at it.
“Clean water won’t do. We have no other choice but to use blood.”
Bai Yan immediately dunked the mop in the basin of bloody water, firmly immersing it into the rich red liquid for two seconds.
While he was soaking the mop, he asked, “Isn’t there another faucet on the ground? What liquid does it spout out?”
“I don’t know. That faucet is clogged.” Ye Shangyu replied, “There’s a round mass of flesh inside, and it won’t come out no matter how much I pick at it. But, it should be blood.”
Bai Yan understood and didn’t say anything else, starting to concentrate on efficiently dipping the ‘mop’ into the bloody water.
Soon, the woman’s originally elegant hair was defiled by sticky blood. Bai Yan weighed the mop by hand and felt that enough bloody water was soaked through, picking it up and starting to drag it across the floor.
Under his forceful pulls, its disheveled hair was quickly jumbled up into balls and absorbed the dust and sewage water on the ground, causing the ‘mop’ to utter another round of malicious curses.
Since there wasn’t much time left of the 10 minutes, Bai Yan mopped the floor at a rapid pace.
When he was finished, the tiles were fully covered with a thin layer of blood, and under the shining lights, it looked like an ordinary girl’s restroom, just covered in blood, with its walls also projecting a bloody red color, somewhat transforming the place into the trends of haunted houses.
However, when Bai Yan glanced at the mirror, he saw that the tiles were bright and clean as if they were brand new. Each tile was spotless and perfect.
“Cleaning it up like this ought to be good.”
Bai Yan directly stepped on the blood-covered ground, and oddly enough, the blood on the ceramic tiles he stepped on didn’t budge, there were even no signs of a footprint.
