286 A B*tch And A Bastard; A Match Made In Heaven (1/2)

”My Raven.” He cut her off before she could proceed, ”I am not asking you to think different; I just want you to be my Queen for this game that we can play all our lives.”

Lei Xinyi shook her head and scoffed. What he wanted was an illusion or if he wanted it at all. She didn't believe a word he said because none of what he said made sense to her.

She was taking refuge behind the King! She had no plans to be his Queen. Being with him permanently would mean she would have to get rid of the Lei Heirs', put up with his psychotic family, deal with his wh*res, doll up for the camera, and completely forget who she was as a person!

No to mention his wife is supposed to give him an heir and if she has a child, that unfortunate soul will be the center of discord as the war will unleash, the prize being her flesh and blood.

”You are eccentric! A complicated man…”

Grinning he cradled her face landing a peck on her lips, ”So I have heard.”

Squeezing her eyes she let out a groan of frustration, ”But you know I can't stay…”

His entire demeanor flips and his grip on her tighten to a point it became painful. Lei Xinyi's eyes hardened but she refused to hiss in pain and stake her remaining pride right on his feet. He stared at her blankly as his gaze darkened further at her stubborn streak, ”You can never leave me. There is nothing left for you out there. I will keep you safe.”

Lei Xinyi shook her head at the irony of his statement and raised her forefinger to his face. She gritted through her itch to slap him, ”You are an asshole! A bastard!”

He snorted and flipped her in his embrace so she was straddling him, ”And you are my b*tch, we are a match made in heavens!”

Lei Xinyi's jaw all about fell on the rocks. She opened and closed her mouth trying to voice all the messy eruption the volcano has caused.

He… He called her a b*tch! That to 'his b*tch'. She was fuming, about ready to strike him with anything she could get her hand on. When she found nothing she raised her hand to smack him when he caught it mid-air and tucked them back in his coat, holding them there.

”Why would you?” Her tone was nothing but inquisitively loud with rage garnished to spice up the flavor.

With an easy-going smile, he raised a brow, ”What, my ladylove?”

She huffed at his pure show of ridicule when clearly speaking about something parliament-attention-worthy important, ”Why would you want a woman with such baggage? There is a cold hard reality that there will never be a day filled with normality with me and of course! Let's not forget the warheads you are inviting on your doorsteps!”

Looking at her cute frown and adorable pout he wanted to cradle her in his arms and make out till she was too gone to remember all these puny details.

All in all, it meant that he would have to arrange fireworks in the sky and on the ground. They were minor details and he could care less if some useless evil pawns were getting their tickets to hell.
