269 Masters New Fiancé (1/2)
”Where to, Madam?” The driver faced the front of the windshield mirror and didn't dare glance back at her.
Lei Xinyi turned her attention to the stiff driver with a builder's buff body and repled in a stern command, ”Drive home. Take a detour around the bustling market areas.”
'Home?!'
The words left her mouth before she acknowledged them to even her own self. She held the urge to groan out in a childish fit. It had hardly been two days playing home with Li Yuan. She sighed irritably, it was getting to her head already!
The driver looked at her a bit apprehensively but even his blank look conveyed her his astonishment. Lei Xinyi scowled and raised her brow in challenge.
The driver at once turned around relenting and catching himself in the act of defying his Master's fiance and nodded, ”Sure, Madam.”
He made sure to make subtle eye contact with his comrade who was monitoring the perimeter several meters away. His comrade replied with a blink of his eye and he knew the man would report to their Master of the new plans.
He fairly had no idea of the cause of her orders but there was no way he was shielding in front of their enraged Boss if their future Mistress was playing some tricks or worse trying to escape. So it was better to be safe than sorry.
The woman was complicated. They have been informed of her status as their Master's new fiance after the great ruckus that was created by her rescue retreat. And nobody wanted to test their Master's limit, not when he himself a commander in his X Force was assigned to her as a mere driver. The Elites guarding her a proof enough of how high their Master held her in regards.
Lei Xinyi sure saw the little exchange and rolled her eyes at their itty bitty precautions. It was totally useless, not like she had anywhere to go!
If she was out of this car, she was as good as roasted chicken for devouring on a sailor's table.
She slid the divider. She wanted to make a call of importance so she waited for the car to get on the road. The phone was untraceable but not when she was on the line so in her best opinion it was best to make the call on the road when they were running.
Her Bastard Grandfather knows she was in Li Yuan's protection but he didn't know where he was keeping her. Initially, she had suspected that they had planted a tracker in her body but after a little inspection, she confirmed they hadn't, as Li Yuan's security system would have deduced it by now.
For assurance, she decided to visit the appointment Li Yuan had set for her in his family hospital. This nepotism would just make sure that there was no need for identification before the check-up and her privacy can be secured.
She was acting pretty cool like it didn't affect her but she was rolling in nirvana inside. After Yi Yang, one thing was clear none of the Heirs were to be trusted. He was her brother, elder brother she had wandered off in his courtyard before she could even walk properly but he didn't bat an eye before sending her to the gallows.
Her eyes burned with unshed tears and a sinister smirk took over her features. When he had crashed her she was lucky to have taken a turn so her left sides were the only thing hurt.
If she hadn't, she could have hit her head and it would have split open in the instant with the impact at the speed she was running her bike, without immediate medics, she would have died a horrendous death. Even then he didn't have decency enough to send her to the real help.
If she had internal injury she would have died a brutal death on the bed that he lay her with an incompetent nurse.
Every time on that bed a wave of pain crushed her soul she kept a cool face on, she was that much psychologically sick. Yi Yang did more than the physical damage; he had given her insight into the world she lived in.
For what? Just power, his burning greed. For family, she was ready to surrender her own life and readily die in the hands of her own blood but after this, she had mixed feelings about all this.
