The Butler took a deep breath and asserted to disclude his personal opinions, ”Young Master Li, Miss Lei is intelligent, smart and had been through the Mafia for years as a member of the 'Lei' Family and her Medical expertise are peerless. She is a rare woman of confidence in the field.”

He finally met his Master eyes and exhaled a deep breath, ”But in all respect… Young Master, Miss Lei isn't the type to settle nor a domestic lifestyle is something she would thrive in, she is a woman with opinions, bold and liberal: the kind that makes good lovers, not good... partners.”

Silence prevailed and Li Yuan's eyes sharpened assessing the man before him but his facial expressions didn't falter even for a millisecond. The Butler averted his gaze and pursed his lips, now more than ever he knew he had crossed a line of exertion as a servant to his Master.

His trail of words would lead to consequence but it was his duty to always guard his Young Master. He had sworn on it, even it cost him his life one way or another, he wanted to give his Master his honest sound opinion.

Li Yaun nodded and a menacing smile took over his features, With a voice neutral to an emotion, he spoke, ”Oh? Is this why you had been sharing Intel with my mother about my miseries?” Ralph Yang's eyes shot up and all color drained from his face in a millisecond.

The calm question froze his functions. How did he know?

He stared at his Young Master but didn't utter a word, just stood there frozen waiting for his impending fate. He took a step forward but Li Yuan raised his finger stopping him in his track.

His eyes turned to stone and a sinister grin adorned his features, ”Out of all your qualities, Ralph I appreciate your loyalties and you will like to keep it that way.”

Shame washed over the Middle-aged Butler and his face reddened from embarrassment, ”Young Master, I don't deserve…”

He was thinking he was looking out for his Young Master but now that the fuzz was cleared even he knew that he was undermining his Master's authority and it was treason, an obvious betrayal.

Li Yuan cut him off coldly, ”You don't. But I am still keeping you here. She will notice your absence.”

Lei Xinyi will not only notice his absence but will surely question it and then he will have no choice but to expose his family's dirty laundry to her and this wasn't something he was looking forward to.

And a servant like him couldn't be simply replaced easily; he would have to be disposed of like his other subordinate who chose to part ways. It would be simple but his Mother will notice it and then come barging in and at this point, Lei Xinyi will combust too.

A fight will break out that he wasn't yet ready to see, besides Butler Yang was too useful to be replaced and at some points, he understood his concern. Without his little Raven, he was devastated and that wasn't a sight his close ones relished.

He always gave a silent second chance and as predicted Butler Yang didn't tattle about Lei Xinyi's arrival to his mother, which earned him his life.

He leaned back on the chair and resumed reading the contract.

He busily announced in his cold voice, ”And loyalty to me is loyalty to her. I plan to put a ring on her finger soon. Let this be known and take this chance to redeem yourself.”

This would ensure that from now on all his workers knew how to treat her, they would never mistreat his guest, they were too tuned for that but it would make sure they know who to placate if they wished to stay employed and breathing.

Butler Yang deeply bowed and excused himself.

Today he had to make her sign this contract at any cost, tomorrow her brother Jiang Cheng will return from GOD-knows-where he was hiding and there was no saying if she contacts him.

He would influence her thought process like the Su girl, and any other input would lead to her opinion faltering so it was wise to strike when the iron was hot.

He would take this week to complete all his pending work and then he would take her on a date at the end of the week.

He smirked. There first real date of many more to come…
