249 Deleterious Old Businessman (1/2)
In the barely lit study, the voices of Lei Xinyi and Su Qing echoed through the speakers, muffled to the peak, barely audible, incomprehensible voices.
He had been sorting all the work he had been pending for the last four months; her being back changed things, now his life had a purpose. He couldn't get any work done when a piece of his heart was away from him so the next couple of days were bound to be busy.
He half-smirked at the women on the screen, he couldn't hear what was being heatedly discussed because the sharp witted women had placed their chairs far away from the camera but it was obvious the Su's fancy-skunk was filling her ears with ear-wax while He Zheng was acting like a good puppy and just taking all in.
The Su sisters were clever, too damn f*cking clever and cunning for their own good!
He narrowed his eyes at the chatterbox of a woman, filling Lei Xinyi's ear. Su Qianwei had been off the radar since that 'eventful' day and now it seemed like the other one needed to disappear too with how her mouth was running about him…
The only reason he wasn't busting her pretty little head with a sniper was that Lei Xinyi wasn't nodding her head off at her but was irked by the buzzing bee…
Even with that little frown on her face, she was the most enthralling being entrapping his heart.
It was an obsession, outright psychotic to stalk her like this but constantly having her in his sight assured him she was there and was not going to disappear as a fragment of his imagination in the next second.
How much he loved her was searing flame-hot molding in his bone, altering his creation. Slowly but surely his enchantress was seeping in his very soul and dancing on the rhythms of his heartbeats.
He had seen it in her eyes, in her moments of vulnerability; in the moments she let her emotions drive her in obliviousness, her heart too beat for him but she was just too damn stubborn to realize the ache of her heart.
He was an impatient man and she was the rhythm and muse driving his sanity. It was time, she needed to be claimed, the sooner the better. It was high time she was brought to her nest.
His personal phone rang at that time cuting his thoughts short, flashing the same damned name for the twentieth times this morning 'Yin Hao'.
Li Yuan snorted and had the urge to throw the phone at the door to crumble to pieces he wished he could divide this man in. He had been a major pain in his ass for the whole morning.
There had been a major stock drop in the market in many major companies throughout the country due to his new collaboration in an American conglomerate whose sole heir was his college mate.
He could care less what they had to presume but the banging of his phone was sure bothersome. After a call or two most of them quit but this man sure was the persistent ache in his as*.
The old man even had the gall to shove his daughter on him once to propose of a marriage contract, an arranged marriage when he was already engaged!
And now this was another one of his charades… If he wasn't the third largest shareholder in his company he wouldn't even put up with his bullsh*t.
His door was knocked and Butler Yang entered with a file, ”Young Master.”
The Butler bowed and placed the file on the desk, the smirk on his face was instant as he took in the contract he had prepared for his little Raven.
He went through the file and nodded then turned his eyes at the Butler who was standing like a blank canvas with all his color scattered in the back of his mind.
Li Yuan raised a brow as he went through all the clauses he had prepared for her and his assistance, it was a deal she couldn't give up. It was too delectable to be passed and she was a little cunning beast and wouldn't give up on an oportunity to rip him off like that.
He was going to serve it to her like a pomegranate as her personal King of Underworld to make her his Queen so she will stay forever stuck with him and he to her.
”What do you think about this, Ralph?”
Ralph Yang pursed his lips, his Young Master didn't really want to know his opinion or suggestion, it was his way of assessing his judgment.
