153 Toxic Friendship (1/2)
Su Qianwei dropped her fist and laid on her back beside Lei Xinyi.
In a trashed bar with broken tables, shattered glass, and injured limbs they were as peaceful as they were in their crib.
That is the kind of friendship they held, a toxic friendship.
They had both done considerable harm to the other. Nothing fatal but if they were against any common rank lot, they would've done lasting damages.
They stayed heaving heavy breaths to calm their raging minds and racing hearts for a while in pregnant silence with the only sound reaching their ears was either their heavy breath or erratic hearts.
”Help me escape.” After a while, Lei Xinyi said in an out-breath voice.
Su Qianweui was surprised but she really didn't even have an ounce of energy left to move a finger, gasping in surprise would be a chores.
”Why are you leaving, really?” She closed her eyes for a little peace and asked. Although to her Lei Xinyi's answer didn't really matter but she could ask for the sake of conversation.
”Reasons...Reasons.” Lei Xinyi said in a sing-a-song exhausted voice.
But in fact, she just knew she couldn't stay being someone else forever, it was depressing and tiring. She wanted to live as herself even if she lived only a day.
A weighty silence defended upon them, it was calming.
Though it was because of the lack of animosity, building harmony or if only they were flagged and on the brink of collapsing was unknown.
”What about the Baby?”
Lei Xinyi lifted herself by her elbow, spat blood on the ground and rolled her eyes, ”There is no baby!”
Su Qianwei's eyes widened, and a shocked a gasp left her, she couldn't really contain it this time.”You are f*cking with the whole Li and Lu Family!”
”Not me, Li Yuan.” Lei Xinyi laid back on the floor to relieve her aching muscles.
Su Qianwei, who still hadn't gotten over the shock, exclaimed, ”Why would he?!”
”Some secretive bullsh*t. I didn't bother looking into it.” Lei Xinyi muttered, covering her face with her hands, ”I am just tired.”
She wasn't talking about their being physically tired.
They both heaved heavy breaths laying in the destructive mess they made. If you asked them they would be nothing but proud of it.
Letting emotions out was pacifying. Once the strayed emotions were out of the equation, life seemed simple.
Both of them were lost in their own thoughts, playing their lives through.
”You love him, don't you? And that's why you are leaving.” Lei Xinyi heard the dull voice of Su Qianwei from beside her. The tedious tone wasn't an affirmation of a question but a statement.
”...I don't know if I do but he makes me feel different things, new things, strange things...” Lei Xinyi laughed without humor, ”I don't know and I don't want to know.”
Su Qianwei scoffed, ”You love him.”
