151 Scorned Woman (1/2)
At noon, Madam Lu took her to her room and tried to help her pack. They were packing everything in the order she was telling them to.
There were too many memories, souvenirs, and even tapes of Lu Xinyi. The girl sure lived to brighten the world with her pure joy and carefree aura.
Lei Xinyi glanced at a picture frame with a frown on her face. In the picture, the Lu girl was holding a bunny and was sitting on the grass.
Lei Xinyi glanced at the mirror then turned back to the photo.
She was like a mirror image of her except the honey hazel hair and the innocence, purity, fragility, and virtual allure on her.
The girl was everything she wasn't.
Li Yuan must be blind or something. The girl was a kind that made men protective of her, she would have attracted them like a scented flower attracted bees.
It would have been completely unsensible but she felt a strong sense of familiarity with the girl like she knew her better than she knew herself like she was close to her even when she wasn't.
She wanted to know who the woman was and who was her mother and why was she a carbon copy of her but it was too late.
Maybe the girl would be dead by now or maybe if she really ran away with her lover, she would be starting a family or some chick-flick thing they do.
She tore out a paper from a diary and held a pen, scribbling something on the paper she hid it behind the frame.
Taking a breath she kept the photo in the open carton. Evidence of good days is the most painful of things on bad days.
”All the cartons are packed?” Lei Xinyi turned to maids who were doing the work.
”Yes, Ms. Lu. All done.”
Lei Xinyi nodded looking at all the packed cartons that will never move from this place, she had taken a lot from the girl but she wouldn't take her memories away if she ever decided to come back.
”Okay, pass me a small carton and then you can take your leave.”
The maid handed her a small carton and rushed out of the room. Lei Xinyi made sure she was alone then locked the door.
Now she needed to do her packing. The one that belonged to her and the one she will take with her.
She went to the bed and by her dagger rip open a side of a mattress close to the headboard. From there she took out the Yu's heirloom and threw them both in the carton.
Then she stood to survey the place, there wasn't really anything she could call her own. Not even the dagger or the heirloom. One she took from a dead, another she stole.
She was about to leave the room when her eyes fell on the Orchids Li Yuan had gifted her with a handwritten card.
