45 # 43 Cooking Contest Battle Soup, Meat Edition.txt (1/2)
The next category is soup. This is a genre that is not very creative. But I check out what kind of food is available when I look around town. This is for future reference. I choose the non-existent dishes among them. If this dish doesn't really exist in this world, it's probably okay.
Now, the dish they made was consomme soup. I didn't have consomme stock, so it was homemade from bouillon. This is a lot of work! When we made an elaborate soup, we had to make bouillon for days. Oh, by the way, bouillon is the Japanese word for broth.
I rated it all 10. well, it's amazing that they made the consomme soup from bouillon. It took a lot of time and effort. But it's just a regular consomme soup! By the way, I make this bouillon, too.
Then it's my turn! So here are the ingredients for the bouillon first.
Chicken stock, onion, carrot, cabbage, radish, celery and shimeji mushroom.
Next, here are the ingredients for the consommé.
Ground chicken, onions, carrots, celery and egg whites.
And here are the ingredients to make the dish.
Chicken thighs, potatoes, carrots, onions, broccoli, shimeji mushrooms, milk, consommé, salt, pepper, butter and flour.
You know what I'm going to make? It's the classic winter soup dish, the counterpart to curry.
Let's make it. First of all, pour cold water into the pot from the bouillon, then add onions, carrots, cabbage, radish, celery, and shimeji mushrooms and turn on the heat. The blond handsome man put them in boiling water, but this is not right, because if you put them in boiling water suddenly, the proteins in the vegetables will be destroyed and the soup will not have any flavor.
So I warmed up the water slowly, starting with cold water, to bring out the vegetable flavors in the soup. Then, after the water comes to a boil, we add the chicken stock and boil it down while taking out the scum, and the bouillon is complete.
Now the next step is to make the consommé. First, chop the onions, carrots and celery.
Next, mix the ground chicken, onions, carrots, celery, and egg whites in a deep-bottomed pot. Then you'll have something like a hamburger.
Roll this up into a meatball and put it in the stock. Let it simmer for a while and the consommé is done.
Then, let's say it's time for the real thing.
First, cut the chicken thighs into bite size pieces and season with salt and pepper.
Cut potatoes into quarters, cut carrots into heart or star shape, and cut onions into wedges.
Cut the broccoli and shimeji mushrooms into small bunches.
Melt the butter in a pan and fry the chicken thighs first until they change color.
After the color changes, add onions and fry again.
Add the flour and stir-fry some more, then add the consommé soup, potatoes and carrots and cook.
When the vegetables are cooked, add the milk, broccoli and shimeji mushrooms and bring to a boil. Finally, season with salt and pepper to taste and it's done.
