204 Ambrosia Cartel: Part 11 (1/2)

An emergency alarm filled the whole base at that time. Personnel was moving to their position with their weaponry in their hands. Patrick, Lynn, and Clara had gone to the air to escort the unknown aircraft outside of the SDC air space. Nathan and Laura were in the command center while looking at the signature of the aircraft on the large screen that was located in the middle of the room.

The large screen displayed the silhouette of the aircraft that seemed to be a bombardier private jet. The problem was that the automatic scanner designated that target as hostile since it had the same identification as a United States military jet that usually bombed people in the middle east. It was weird, but eventually, Nathan marked that flying object as a potential object. However, he wanted Patrick and Lynn to intercept it first.

Patrick: ”To Flight Bravo-Lima-Alpha-5-9-0, you're flying into a restricted flight area. I say again, you're flying to a restricted flight area.”

Unknown: ”This is Flight BLA-590, we have the authorization to fly in this area according to the international law.”

Patrick: ”BLA-590, divert your flight course or you will be engaged.”

Unknown: ” *Rumbling noise of headphone being forcefully taken off from a head* ”

Patrick: ”BLA-590, is there a highjacking? Please respond in 200 seconds.”

Unknown: ”Let me handle it… Why are you so unfriendly? My potential son-in-law.”

'What the heck?”

Lynn: ”Agent Herring.”

Herring: ”Exactly.”

Patrick: ”The main base, this is Golden Fox 3. Target is a friendly aircraft.”

Nathan: ”Golden Fox 3, I have a solid copy on that one. I'll allow him to enter the base. Main base out.”

It was bogus, the target was none other than your friendly CIA agent, Agent Herring. For some unknown reason, that bloody CIA black operative decided to visit the main base of HSDC. It looked like Herring had discovered the existence of HSDC which was not a big surprise since HSDC itself wasn't as secretive as it was used to be.

Nathan walked outside of the command center and took a lift to go to the upper deck. The upper deck was where the jets would land whether it was the military one or the civilian one. Nevertheless, he wanted to see the face of that CIA agent again. He rarely saw Herring since he only contacted Lynn or Patrick.

After the lift took him to the upper deck, the combination of the hot air from the jet blast and the smell of the ocean hit his face. The two fighter jets had landed on the upper deck of the base and the one who blasted his face was the civilian jet that Herring used. Lynn and Patrick were waiting in their pilot outfit at the end of the runway.

The jet was parked according to the instructions of the personnel on the upper deck. It was parked on the ramp that would lower itself down to the below deck. However, the contractors wanted to let Herring went down his jet first.

A man with grey hair stepped down of the private jet, alongside two soldiers in their gear. They were special forces since no one would accompany a black operative to an unknown zone beside the special forces. It was weird that Herring only brought two of them. Well, it was expected since he might only bring them to formalities with his agency.

From afar, Lynn could be seen hugging the person that he called father. Patrick just smiled while looking at those two. Nathan kept running to that private jet. There wasn't any good explanation for a high-ranking member of the SAD to visit HSDC. HSDC itself stood for Havaleard Security and Defense Contractor. A name that would replace the old name whether it was official or not.

Herring was searched by the personnel of HSDC for any trackers or jammer and so did the special forces. It turned out that they came out clean. They didn't bring anything that was out of the ordinary. One of the personnel entered that jet to search for something suspicious, but they didn't find anything either. Nathan who had arrived near that private jet had questions on his mind, but he didn't have the heart to destroy the heartwarming reunion.
