121 Debriefing (2/2)
”Well, it looked like that we're in the clear,” Patrick said as they arrived in front of the city park. It was very empty. It was very eerie.
”Yeah,” Lynn stepped into that park and Clara followed her from behind.
”Well, it looks like that we're no longer safe,” Clara said as she aimed her rifle at the window above her.
It was really dark and Clara used a night vision scope on her M4. She observed all of the windows above her head in case someone decided to shoot through that window.
”Clear! Park is clear,” Patrick said on her microphone. They decided to stop there and talked there since there wasn't anyone in that park or at any surrounding building.
Lynn walked to a bench, ”Let's sit down.”
Lynn sat down on that bench and she looked around her surrounding. Patrick was standing near a pond, looking at the fish. Clara was sitting right beside her.
”How's he?” Clara asked.
”Patrick? He's kind and sweet and caring,” Lynn said as she looked at her.
”Yeah, I agree,” Clara said as she looked at the sky. She put her hand in the air as if she tried grabbing it with his hand.
”It's so high,” Clara said.
”The sky?”
”Our dream,” Clara said as she pulled her hand back.
”I know, but if we work together, no dream is too high,” Lynn said to her friend.
”Yeah. I agree with you,” Clara said as she put her hands back at her lap. Patrick walked back to the place where the girls were sitting down.
”Some fresh air should be nice,” Patrick said as he opened some part of his balaclava to breathe the fresh air in.
”Yeah, about something. Echo decided that we need some standardization since we're forming our PMC,” Clara said.
”Well, I see, well, it might be time to say goodbye to my SCAR,” Lynn said as she looked at the gun that was laid down on the bench.
”Hey, don't get me wrong, I love my gun, but what Echo said is true,” Clara said.
”Yeah, considering it, he might replace it with another AR-style rifle for the sake of easier spare parts,” Lynn said.
Lynn wasn't familiar with the AR-style platform. In short, she was only familiar with either the SCAR or ACR platform since both of them operated in the same way. Patrick had the same case as Lynn, but he didn't care too much about it since he had some experience with the AR platform since he used to use M16.
”I see, well, it's going to be HK416. It's good,” Clara said.
”Yeah, but that's because you are used to using M4. Patrick and I aren't,” Lynn said as she looked at Clara's rifle that was placed on that bench.
”Haha, I see, well, in that case, let's just get familiar to our weapon,” Clara said as she stood up from the bench and Lynn followed her from behind.
They walked out of the park with a rifle on their hands and they were immediately greeted by some targets. What they meant by targets, they were some of the rioters that were rioting. They were marching towards the park. Three of them immediately checked their magazines and checked it.
”5.56, high explosive,” Clara said as he loaded a grenade on her under-barrel grenade launcher.
”.308, high explosive armor piercing,” Patrick said as he inspected his magazine and aimed his scope at the rioters that were running in his direction like a zombie.
”7.62. belt-fed, HEAP,” Lynn switched her weapon to her usual MG5 and choked the handle of her machine gun. She aimed the weapon at the rioters and started firing.
Three of them shot their guns at the rioters and the rioters started dropping to the ground. Most of them were immediately mortally injured thanks to the damage that the bullets had done and the explosion from the grenade that Clara shot. It was a very huge success.
”Guys, let's go back to our house. Lima, you can stay at my apartment,” Clara said as she stopped shooting at the protesters with her assault rifle.
