Chapter 585 - An interesting meeting (1/2)

Ryn watched as the manager from Phoenix Corp squirmed uncomfortably in front of Jeremy's questions. Silently she told herself no wonder the managers and executives in the company turned into scared mice in front of Jeremy.

He was quite frightening when he was serious. She thought he was only serious when he taught the children about the songs but to frighten ȧduŀts until they whimpered weakly... Well... That was quite an eye-opener.

Ryn cleared her throat and tried to stay focused on the things they were discussing but the sight of the paled woman really distracted her. She wished Jeremy could lower down just a notch so that no one could end up needing to spend the time at the emergency. Looking at the way the representatives were reacting, Ryn felt like she would need to call 999 pretty soon.

”If this is how you want to do the project, do you think my company will invest in your project?” Jeremy ċȯċked an eyebrow. ”You can't even explain the risque for the project. There will always be a risque in any project but you can't answer my question. Do you come here thinking the person in front of you is just a singer?”

Jeremy was so furious, he almost slammed his hands on the table. He knew since the moment he decided to join the business world, a lot of people took him for granted, thinking he was just a wannabe businessman and even thought that he did not know anything just because he was a singer. Have they forgotten his background? His family?

His temper diminished just a bit when her soft hand held him. He realized that he almost scared her with his temper. He quickly took a deep breath to calm down but the eyes were still starting at the scared manager.

To think that the woman wore such skimpy clothes to meet him... Luckily he brought Ryn along with him.

Or else he would need to explain if any paparazzi caught his picture with this useless manager.

The woman tried to use her womanly allure to melt him but she forgot the existence of Ryn beside Jeremy. Or maybe she thought Ryn was just an insignificant ȧssistant and has no power at all. Ryn could really blend into the background if she had the mind to until those who looked at her immediately dismissed her appearance.

”That was... Interesting...” Ryn mumbled as she and Jeremy entered the lift. In the end, another manager came in and tried to save the day. Even the boss came in and tried to slow talk with Jeremy. The female manager ended up having to wait outside the meeting room when everyone saw that Jeremy could no longer look at her. Lastly, Jeremy decided to give them another two days to redo the proposal and the presentation would be in the main company as Jeremy no longer wanted to come here again. He did not want to see that woman ever again, which meant that the project's manager would go to another person.

”Your first meeting and it was... bad,” Jeremy grumbled unhappily. He thought he could show his suave and handsome side at her during the meeting but ended up losing his temper. He vowed if the company still sent that woman to represent them, he would make sure the company lose so much that it has to close down.

”At least it opens my eyes what kind of presentation I have to avoid,” Ryn shrugged. She did not write much in her book because there was almost nothing to write about. She only jotted down the reason why Jeremy rejected the proposal. And she also included what Jeremy expected for the new proposal to be and the name of the female that Jeremy just blacklisted.

”We'll go to check the site first before we go back to the office,” he told her as the elevator brought them downstairs to the basement.

”Hmm...”

”If you're already hungry, we can go back to that restaurant to have a meal,” he suggested.

”No need to stop anywhere. I'm not hungry yet,” Ryn replied. She already nibbled the refreshment the company provided during the meeting and her stomach could not accept more food.

He rubbed her back gently before they walked out together when the elevator's door opened. He unlocked the door and opened the door for her.

”The site visit... Do I need to change my shoes?” Ryn asked with a frown at him when he sat on the driver's seat.

He glanced at her feet, at the six inches heels she wore. He liked that particular heels. There was no stone or diamond on them, just a plain leather shoes but as they were actually 3 inches, her height was just nice beside him.
