Chapter 499 - Missing her (1/2)

She poured the coffee into two mugs but instead of bringing them to the dining table, she leaned to the counter and sighed. Without thinking, she took a mug and sipped it without adding any sugar nor milk.

She grimaced when she swallowed the black drink. So bitter!

She quickly looked for the sugar container and found it. She quickly poured two spoons into it and stirred quickly. She took another sip and nodded happily. Taste better and most importantly, it woke her up now.

She finally was ready to face the world... well, ready to face Jeremy.

She took a deep breath to gather her strength and mood. Then, letting out a sigh and walked to the dining table, bringing both mugs.

He was already at the dining table, only in a bathrobe. Apparently, he was done with his shower but looking at his dark face, his mood was still not good. She hid another sigh. She really has no mood for this.

She placed both mugs at the table and pulled a chair to sit. She placed both arms on the table and looked at him quietly.

Both stared at each other for several minutes. None was willing to be the first person to break the silence.

They did not even touch the food nor the drink.

It was really awkward.

The clock kept ticking but still, no one wanted to give in.

She lowered her eyes and looked at her cooling food. She reached the fork and started to stab the scrambled egg but did not put any of them into her mouth. Stab... stab... stab... and more stabbing.

After a while, she dropped the fork with a clang and stood up. ”Look, I made a mistake and I apologize for it. However, you, I don't know what is wrong with you this time and if you want to throw tantrum, I'm going back to my room to sleep.”

His jaw dropped to see she threw tantrum all of a sudden. It took him several minutes before his brain finally digested what just happened. He stood up and stormed to her bedroom.

”Ryn, open the door,” he demanded, trying to open the door but it was locked.

He has been locked out again.

”Catherine, open the door.”

Jeremy gripped his fist and punch the door in frustration.

Harry bent down to grab his bag. He put it on his shoulder and then reached for his phone and car key. He checked the time on his watch, adjusted the bag and quickly got out from his bedroom.

”Where are you going?”

He stopped when he heard his mother's voice. He turned around and gave his mother a sheepish grin.

”Where do you think you're going? You came back late last night,” she questioned with her hands on her h.i.p.s. She did not understand why her son kept coming late lately.

She knew her son was hurt when the girl refused to accept his love. She told him many times to woo her but her son refused to listen, telling her that Catherine already has a boyfriend.

Catherine only has a boyfriend, not yet married.

Mrs Si did not think it was wrong to try to steal Ryn from her boyfriend. As long as Ryn hasn't married her boyfriend, her son still has a chance. And besides, she did not think their family lack anything. They were among the riches family in the country, top ten to be precise. And she also has no doubt her son would treat Catherine like a princess once they got married. Looking at how her own husband treating her, she knew her son would do the same. The male in the family, once they fell in love, it was forever and they would do anything to make their other half happy.
