Chapter 498 - Who has the mood to go to work when the girlfriend locked him out of the bedroom? (1/2)
The next day...
Ryn woke up with a headache. She glanced at the ringing phone and scowled but did not make a move yet. She wanted to continue her sleep but remembered that she had to unpack her things so she could finally get rid of all the boxes.
So many things to do but her head was driving her crazy!
She finally reached for her phone and disabled the alarm. Then, she threw it aside, watching it jumping up and down on the bed before it stopped. She sighed.
”Time to get up,” she told herself as she patted her cheeks a few times to wake up. The headache was still there, refused to leave.
While rubbing her head unhappily, she went to grab a towel and headed to the bathroom. But instead of going into the bathroom, she changed the direction and went to open the door, thinking she should drink some water first. Maybe a panadol or two could make the pain in her head go away.
She was just pouring the water into a glass when she noticed another presence. She pulled her hand and the pouring water stopped. She turned to look at the person. Her brows lifted up when she realized who was it.
”J?” Why would he be here? It was quite early in the morning, only like 8.30 am. And she did not even remember opening the door for her.
Or did he actually remember what the password for her door was?
”Good morning. You're already up?” she asked without thinking. After a second, she shook her head and corrected herself, ”You're not going to work?”
Shouldn't he be on the way to work?
”I will,” he said shortly. He stepped closer to the cabinet and took the glass of water she was filling and drank the water.
She took another glass to fill with water. She did not scold him for 'stealing' her drink. She was too thirsty to do that. Once she was done drinking the whole glass, she leaned her back against the counter and looked at him questioningly. Why was he here?
”You locked me out,” he complained.
”I've helped to arrange your closet but you locked me out,” he complained bitterly.
”Ah...” Ryn was speechless. She did that? Wait... why was he arranging her things? Didn't he go home after sending her home?
She walked calmly to the closet to check. Was he telling the truth?
Her eyes widened at the sight of the folded boxes neatly arranged at the door. The room was no longer littered with unopened boxes but clean. Even the boxes contained accessories were no longer there.
The empty wardrobe was full of clothes, arranged from type and colour.
She pulled a drawer at the top of the island counter and found it full of hats arranged neatly and again, according to the type and colour. She pushed it back to its original place and turned to look at Jeremy who was leaning against the closed door, crossing his arms grumpily.
Who has the mood to go to work when the girlfriend locked him out of the bedroom?
”Err... thank you?” she gave him a sheepish smile. She did not expect him to be done in just a few hours. Even she thought she would take more than two days to finish the clothes... as she would squeeze in some times for a short nap and meals too. But this boyfriend of hers actually spent less than a day to finish everything.
Such a brilliant man.
She stepped forward and started to hold his hands. ”Thank you, Jeremy.”
”That's all?” the frown deepened. He was unsatisfied with this kind of response from her. Just a thank you after locking him out? Thank you?
Her lips twitched. Seeing a man as successful as him acting all childish and grumpy. It did not match his identity at all. Besides, she did tell him to go home last night. She did not think she did anything wrong at all.
Without another word, she leaned forward until her head rested against his broad c.h.e.s.t and her arms around his waist. ”I'm sorry?”
