Chapter 456 - A childish him (1/2)

Jeremy and Ryn walked hand in hand to his car. It was almost 8.00 pm when they were done with the recording. Jeremy even ordered two large pizza for them to snack on while working.

”Are you tired?” He asked once they got into the car. He started the engine and waited until she sat comfortably on her chair before drive the car away.

”Hmm...” she nodded.

”What time is the show tomorrow?” He asked. His eyes were on the road, carefully driving the car toward her place. He knew she needed to pack her things for tomorrow's flight. Of course, as he was with her, he would coax her to return to his place to sleep. He would send her to her work tomorrow before went to the orphanage to check their practice.

The kids were already chosen and from what he has seen, they were talented and had the high chance to be successful if they put their all into this. But of course, he and the rest would prefer the kids to focus on their study first and treat this as a way to gain experience and a little bit of money. In another week or so, he would bring Ryn to practice with them. It was important for them to practice together so to get used with each others.

”You sleep first. I'll wake you up once we've arrived,” he told her gently when she kept yawning in just ten minutes.

She nodded and closed her eyes drowsily. Even without him telling her that, she would still have her nap right now. She could not hold her sleepiness anymore.

He smiled when he saw her really sleeping. He tightened his hold on the steering wheel. He was not rushing at all to reach her place. It would not make sense for her nap to cut too short just because he wanted to reach her place as quickly as possible. Let her have these several minutes of sleep to rest her body and mind.

”Good morning, love,” he greeted as he wrapped his arms around her waist, interupting her concentration of making breakfast for both of them.

”Morning. Make the coffee, please,” she told him, pushing his hands from her waist so she could move freely.

”Good morning kiss?” He requested. His boyish face looked at her pleadingly but she did not even look at him. Her attention was on the food in the pot.

”Mei Li will come around 10.15 am so you can go to work today,” she said as she checked the Yorkshire pudding she was baking in the oven.

”But... I plan to send you to work today,” he grumbled. He was hurt when she refused the good morning kiss and now it seemed like his presence was not important in her eyes. Was she giving him a cold shoulder just because he insisted that she slept at his place last night?

”No need. Mei Li will help with sending me to the airport too,” Ryn said as she turned off the stove. She woke up early today so she decided to make a mixture of western and easten food for breakfast. For the leftover, she would put into the refrigerator and he could reheat back for dinner.

She already planned what she would be doing today and even decided for his dinner. Knowing him, he might forget about his meal once he returned from work. Or maybe he would just drink a glass of water and treated it as his dinner.

Sigh. Sometimes she wondered how he survived without her.

”Have I done something wrong?”

His sudden question made her freeze. The pause was just a few seconds. She turned to look at him, still holding the spatula to retrieve the scrambled eggs. She blinked her eyes.

Why would he say that?

”Excuse me?”

”You're avoiding me,” he accused.

”Avoiding you?” She echoed, her voice full with confusion.

He stepped forward and hugged her. His chin rested on her left shoulder. ”You don't want to kiss me good morning.”

Her jaw dropped. The reason was too... absurb. When did he become so silly?

”I didn't. If I was, I won't ever bother speaking with you but I did, right?” She pointed it out.

”Good morning kiss,” he demanded and quickly pressed their lips together for his good morning kiss.
