Chapter 427 - The wig and the snake dress (1/2)
”Don't you think today is quite full for me?” Ryn asked as she watched as the crew busy adjusting the background and the props for the photoshoot session. Apparently, the director hated the result after five frames and now they had to redo everything back.
”Really? I don't think so,” Mei Li replied. She was accompanying Ryn for today's shooting. At the same time, she was exchanging messages with the producer of ”A Day In My Life”. The crews would come today to set the cameras.
Ryn twitched her lips. Only her manager did not share the same opinion. She had been up for two hours and most of the time, aside from the journey to come here while eating her sandwich for lunch, she spent the time in the small room for her make-up and hair. And she was wearing a wig.
The wig was huge and tall, it made her neck a bit uncomfortable but she sucked it up and maintain her smile. The only worry she had right now was for the wig to hit something and fell down, along with her.
”Alright, continue,” the director shouted once he was satisfied with the set.
”I'll come back to you later,” Ryn told Mei Li before she walked to the set carefully, holding the wig with her hand.
Mei Li pursed her lips. She had no idea why Ryn was fretting over the shooting. She should just act natural. It was after all a program about their daily life. Besides, tomorrow's episode was special because she would have her driving test. Mei Li already contacted the driving center where the test would be done. She already received permission from the center.
The only thing she was worried about was Mika and Jeremy. She hadn't told the siblings about the shooting and... Mei Li checked the time and frowned. How could she explain that the siblings have to pull a bit of their affection toward Ryn during the shooting, especially Jeremy? Hopefully tomorrow the man did not do anything that could make Ryn angry again.
It would not look good on television if the couple was quarreling. And it was not good for their names too. A big no-no.
She looked at Ryn busy posing in front of the camera for a few seconds before she made up her mind. She quickly walked outside the studio and took out her phone. It was better to inform them before they saw the camera without any notice.
She did not have to wait long for her call to be answered. Her heart was pounded hard when she heard the voice.
”Hello, Young Master Long,” she greeted politely.
”Mei Li?”
”I'm sorry for disturbing you but I have something to tell you,” Mei Li said slowly.
”What is it?”
”I'm not sure whether Catherine has told you but tomorrow she will be shooting another episode of ”A Day In My Life,” she explained.
”Another episode?”
”Yes, Young Master. The crews will come tonight to set the cameras. I will be there too to watch over them.”
”Tonight?”
”Yes, Young Master. Don't worry. They will set it at the same positions as last time,” Mei Li assured.
”IS there any plan for tomorrow?” Jeremy asked.
”Ryn has her driving test tomorrow morning. And she's free the rest of the day,” Mei Li said as she checked the diary. Actually, she did not have to but she just wanted to make sure she did not arrange anything in the evening part of the day.
”Driving test? Did you let her practice before?” Jeremy asked.
Mei Li paused. She just realized that she did not plan any driving practice for Ryn. Uh oh, what should she do now? She checked the time and wondered whether she could squeeze a little bit of time for Ryn to practice... using her car. But another problem was... where they could go to practice the driving?
”If she fails tomorrow, arrange for another date and I will give her private practice,” Jeremy decided. He was a bit disappointed because Ryn did not tell him anything. But, he coaxed himself, she was being angry at him for some time now so it was obvious she would not inform him of this important day.
”Yes, Young Master,” Mei Li nodded despite it was a phone call. She was a bit taken aback when it seemed like Jeremy has no confidence in Ryn. However, she told herself that Jeremy was being pragmatic. It was better to have a plan B just in case plan A did not go as well as they wanted it to go.
