288 A starving tigress (2/2)

After work, he would go buy her a bouquet of roses first before picking her up. She would love them and would love him more.

He grinned at his thought.

The driver stopped at the entrance of Full Moon and quickly got out of the car without shutting off the engine. He went to the passenger side to open the door for the Young Master.

”Young Master,” he called when Jeremy hadn't come out from the car. He had to lean down to check why his Young Master did not move.

Why was Young Master grinning like an idiot with his cheeks and even his ears reddened?

”Ehem, Young Master Jeremy?” the driver coughed loudly to grab Jeremy's attention. He had to do it three times before he managed to grab Jeremy's attention.

Jeremy snapped back from his daydream and looked at the driver. Then, he looked out of the window and realized they had arrived in front of the office.

He coughed a few times before scooted to get out of the car. He did not bring anything with him to lunch except for his phone. He kept his phone in the pocket of his coat. Then, as he walked into the building, he rested his hands in the pockets of his pants. He gave a slight nod at his workers who, of seeing his arrival, quickly stopped walking and bowed their head politely, greeting 'Boss' to him.

The driver did not waste any more time. He quickly went back to the driver seat and drove the car away. He was supposed to pick up Madam Long and Dowager Long and bring them to their massage session at the spa.

Jeremy went into his office, trying hard not to grin widely. He must maintain his coolness. If he showed the grin, people would think it was easy to play a game with him and no longer put their mind and soul into their work.

However, once he was safe in his 'haven', even locked the door, he started grinning. He checked his phone for several times, just in case he missed reading Ryn's message.

Of course, there was no new message from her.

So all he did was re-reading all her messages before took a deep breath and stretched his arms. Then, he started working on the unfinished files happily. He could not wait to go for his date tonight. So, in order to make his girlfriend happy and proud of him, he must settle as much work as he could today.

Ryn dabbed her lips with a napkin and sighed happily. The restaurant really was worth queuing for half an hour. Of course, at first, she was reluctant to do so because she was so hungry and could not wait anymore.

But, both Mei Li and Harry insisted to have lunch at Red Apple. So the three of them joined the others queuing to get into the restaurant. And after half an hour, it was finally their turn to enter the restaurant and Ryn quickly ordered everything that caught her interest.

It was dangerous for a hungry… no… a starving Ryn to shop… no… to order food. She did not wait for the others to finish choosing and urged the waiter to submit her order to the kitchen. She was starving and she wanted food now!

Both Mei Li and Harry saw how impatient she was and they tried to create simple topics to redirect her thought to something other than her growling stomach. They succeed after ten small talks and hid a relieved sigh when Ryn no longer having a starving tigress face.

Well, although Harry loved Ryn, he was a bit scared seeing her starving tigress look. Hence, when he realized what Mei Li was doing, he quickly gave her a hand and helped Mei Li diverting Ryn's attention.

And the celebration continued rather silently when the food finally arrived and Ryn started to attack them like a tigress she was.

Now, as her stomach was finally full of delicious food, she was ready to pay the bill. She stood up and wanted to go to the cashier to pay but Harry was faster.

”Let me treat you two girls,” Harry said with a wink. He took the bill and walked to the ever-busy cashier. He even whistled happily when he went there.

”Well…” Mei Li was speechless. Her widened eyes looked at Harry, before at Ryn. And the thing she was taken back was the fact Ryn did not even argue with Harry. Wasn't this supposed to be a lunch treated by Ryn? How could it suddenly turn into Harry's generous treat?

And silly Ryn… didn't she feel something weird and suspicious with the way Harry treating her? Couldn't she feel his feeling? It was as clear as an elephant in front of them!
