265 Team Ryn forever and ever (1/2)

”Hello, boss. Sorry for this interruption,” it was his personal assistant and he sounded nervous.

”What is it?” Jeremy frowned. He put the call on speaker so he could still read the report using both hands.

”About the meeting tomorrow morning with the Sun corporation,” Jacob started, unwilling actually to tell the boss but this was important.

”What about it?”

”I've received a call from the company. The meeting will be at 10.00 a.m. instead of 12.00 p.m. and the CEO wants to discuss it with you, not with a representative,” Jacob explained worriedly.

Jeremy pinched between his brows. Why it felt like someone was trying to interrupt his chance of wooing Ryn?

”Why can't Mika handle the meeting?” Jeremy asked.

”I told him the Vice will meet him when I was confirming the meeting but he said he wants to meet you… only you.”

Jeremy pushed the iPad away and cancelled the speaker. He put the phone to his left ear so he can speak better.

”Send me the number of the CEO and his name. I'll talk with him,” Jeremy decided. Of course, the meeting was important to get the investment they needed for the new project but for him, Ryn was more important.

And for Ryn, what was more important was her father's health.

He waited for the numbers and then quickly called the CEO. He shut off the engine and got out of the car.

”Hello, Mr Gabrielle Sun? I am Jeremy from Long from Full Moon Corporation,” Jeremy started when the call was answered. He smiled, knowing that although the receiver could not see his smile but his tone changed into friendliness when he smiled.

”Ah… the CEO of Full Moon Corporation,” Gabrielle smiled as he put down the pen he was holding.

”Sorry to interrupt your busy day,” Jeremy apologized with a chuckle.

”For what do I have the privilege of having CEO of Full Moon Corporation to call me in person?”

”About the meeting tomorrow,” Jeremy did not beat around the bush, just go straight to the point. He turned so he was backing the hospital building and put a hand in his pocket.

”Ah… I heard you want to send an assistant for the meeting,” Gabrielle sounded a bit angry despite not raising his voice.

”She's my little sister and will be taking over the company,” Jeremy corrected.

”But does she have full authority?” Gabrielle asked, ”Especially when it's a huge project you're working on? How do you expect us to give you the money to invest when I can't see your sincerity?”

”Are you questioning our sincerity?” the temper almost slipped out of him but Jeremy managed to control it.

”Should I?”

*~*~*~*

She checked the time and found it only several minutes since her sulking father entering the room. Earlier, he had his blood and pee taken. They could not do full check-up as it was a walk-in and her father did not take the medicine to empty his gut. But for Ryn, beggar could not be chooser, so she would accept whatever she could get from the doctors.

She quickly stepped forward when her father finally walked out from the X-Ray room.

”How is it, father?” she asked him, holding onto his arm, worry for his sake and at the same time making sure he could not run away.

”So troublesome,” he murmured sulkily right after thanking the man inside. He continued being sulky even though he was all smile in the X-Ray room.

”Right,” Ryn said as she pulled her father back to waiting area right in front of the doctor room they went earlier.

”I am fine I am healthy. Why do you bring me here? Wasting money checking a healthy man like me,” he mumbled sulkily, crossing his arms.

”Oh my God, why are you still like this? People will think I am an unfilially daughter forcing you to suffer when all I want is for you to be happy and healthy.”

”Hmph,” he glared at her childishly.

”Father, please. Stop being childish. I'm still tired from all the travelling I had these past weeks,” Ryn sighed tiredly. She was rubbing her head. Actually she was having a headache on and off. Usually, she would have a day or two off after long days of working abroad but she immediately went to her parents right after she arrived back to the country.
