With curses coming out of there mouths they started grabbing as much dirt as they could and piling it up in the elevator. Then one of the 2 guys had a smart idea of taking off his pants and shirt tying the ends of the holes and dumping dirt into the makeshift clothing bag. After they filled both there pants and shirts and piled up some dirt in the elevator with barely anytime to rest they quickly went into the elevator. There were only 14 minutes on the clock before the time ran out and the ride up the 44-floor brick tower takes 2 minutes without the stops but there is so little dirt which they brought up meaning they might have to take another trip down if they don't have enough.
So they are now only hoping they have enough dirt to completely cover the rooftop.
On there ride up they called the group on the roof about there situation and upon realization, they quickly sent 5 people into the 2nd elevator of nonstop breaking and gave them the empty bags which were used to bring up the dirt before.
5 minutes down, 3 minutes to fill up the bags 2 minutes up and 5 minutes to spread out the dirt.
They only have 14 minutes on the clock meaning they are a minute short.
While the 5 guys in the elevator were close to breaking down a teenager who was taking the hellish elevator ride thought back onto a youtube vid he saw before the apocalypse.
Thinking it can't hurt to try he pressed the button to the next floor 2 times in quick succession and the light went out...
It turned out that this elevator can turn off the pressed buttons as long as you double click the button.

Soon their eyes went into berserk mode and frenziedly pressed every single one of the buttons as fast as they could. Like this, they should be able to barely make it in time.
The moment they got to the first floor they speedily shoved the dirt into the bags and rushed into the elevator as fast as they could.
By the time they got to the rooftop, there was only around 5minutes and 30 Seconds left meaning they had earned themselves an extra minute and 30 seconds from the speedy shoving speed as well as from the elevator buttons being fixed.
But just as they were about to finish filling up the whole rooftop a bunch of footsteps could be heard.

When they turned around they notice the 30 men whom they stopped from coming up the elevator. In the 30 minutes, they took to grab more supplies they had finished resting and came up to the top floor.
