Chapter 3 - Meeting (2) (1/2)

[Be happy]

The voice of a woman resounded in his head, warming his heart. However, when he tries to remember whose voice it belongs to, he experienced terrible pain deep within his soul. Bits and pieces of memories started flashing through his eyes. It depicted the harsh life of a young kid. whom he felt was very familiar. He felt attached to the family that was shown. He felt when he heard that they died. He felt mad during the battles that followed after their death. He doesn't know what he was. Was he the boy in the memory? Or was he something else. However, deep within his soul, he felt like the voice belonged to his mom, whom he never met. His eyes started to get teary and he finally woke up.

(Mikasa's POV)

(A/N I'mma try writing in first person pov. Feel free to comment if I should keep this.)

It's been the second day since the boy went unconscious. His hair and face somehow look kind of similar to me for some reason. My mom told me that the reason for this is because we're of Asian heritage. However, whenever I look at him, I get scared for some reason. It's like my instinct is telling me that this boy can kill me or something. I think I'm getting scared but something deep within me prevents me from stepping back. Oh. The boy seems like he's awake.

”H-h-hello. My name is Mikasa. What's yours?”

Ahh! I stuttered. I hope he doesn't think bad about me.

The boy slowly gets up and I got closer to him. Even now, I still feel that eerie feeling sticking to my skin, giving goosebumps. I never got a close look at any boy before except Dr. Yeager and my dad. He looks different from them. He has very smooth skin when I touched him earlier but his muscles were really firm, even firmer than dad.

Huh? What did he just say? I didn't see him open his mouth but I can hear him talking. I can't understand this language though. Is he not an Eldian? Is he an alien? My thought is going nowhere.

”Can you understand me?” I asked again to make sure I was hearing right.
