Chapter 94 - Please Bother Us (2/2)
”But?”
”But in spite of that fear, I'm willing to know more about you,” Yanee said; her voice shook a little in her nervousness.” Well, that's only if it's okay with you. If not then it's fine as well,” she added hurriedly.
”It's okay— of course, it's okay,” Tohru James said.
He now looked giddy as if he was very happy. Yanee wondered what he was thinking about right now, but she didn't have to wonder long. The potato stood up from his seat across from her and transferred to the one next to her.
”Why did you switch seats?” she asked.
”Well, it's better that we sit together when the authors come so we can talk to them better,” he answered swiftly.
Oh, so they were back in work mode. Or so she thought. The potato took her hand again and she looked at him questioningly.
”Yanee it means you agree to go out with me, right?”
Ah.
”Well… You can say it like that. I can't learn more about you if I don't give you a chance, right?” she said in a small voice.
”That's great,” Tohru said, looking totally ecstatic.
Yanee side-eyed him. ”You still need to spill the beans later when we have more time. If you have other secrets that's the time you can come clean.”
”Er…” he scratched the side of his head but nodded.
”If… If I find you lying to me I will leave immediately. There's no turning back,” Yanee said stubbornly.
”That's fair enough,” he said as he suddenly lifted her hand and kissed it.
KYAAAAAAAAAAAA
”And stop hitting my HP below zero with that face of yours,” Yanee complained in desperation making Tohru laugh.
”I can't do that though,” he said and Yanee frowned, waiting for an explanation. ”How can I sweep you off your feet and make you crazy about me if I don't do that.”
”Y-You…” Urgh….
Yanee gave up. She had already made the decision. She just hoped she'd survive or at least keep her sanity. After all, her ”boyfriend” was a very potent potato, she thought, not realizing that they were no longer alone until they heard voices behind them.
”Did you hear that sis? He keeps hitting her HP below zero,” a woman's amused voice whispered.
”I heard. I heard. And he's planning to sweep her off her feet,” another voice agreed as a sound of paper turning followed.
”You write that down. It's good material,” the first voice ordered and Yanee and Tohru immediately stood up to see the source.
”Ms. Rui! Ms. Bajj!”
Startled, both Yanee and Tohru greeted the authors who were standing by the doorway.
”We apologize we didn't realize you're already here,” Tohru said. ”Have you been here long?”
”Oh no, not at all. Actually, we're here early so go ahead and continue your discussion Mr. Editor. We won't bother you. Right, sis?” Rui egged Bajj with a knowing smile.
”Oh, yes, of course. Please pretend we're not here until the time. We won't bother you at all,” Bajj agreed followed by a giggle.
Yanee of course knew, based on the authors' mischievous looks that they had been standing there listening to them for a while and wanted to continue eavesdropping on their romance. She prayed for the floor to open up and swallow her right at that moment. It was so embarrassing.
”No, please authors. Please bother us…”
