'Sorry, Human.'

Without any surprise, the mutated spirit crane gave the reply Ajax was expecting; however, he was still thinking about what he should do to convince the spirit crane to follow me for the next six months.

No matter how powerful the spirit crane might become in the future, Ajax was not planning to keep the spirit crane with him forever.

He was already satisfied with his own contracted spirit beasts; however, he didn't want to waste his time following Princess Daphne as it would give others a wrong idea about him.

Moreover, if he stayed in the royal palace, he would have a problem in summoning his elemental spirits or contracted spirit beasts.

All of a sudden, Ajax thought about something and muttered to himself, 'I hope, it will work.'

”Do you really care about your master?”

Soon, Ajax chooses a different approach in persuading the mutated spirit crane in following him.

'I will give my life for her.'

The usual young girl's voice appeared in Ajax's head.

Even though she was already a peak rank 6 spirit beast, she was unable to speak directly; instead, she could only speak through the voice transmission.

”So, if you stay with her, she will be in big trouble that might cost her life.”

Without wasting any more, Ajax started his plan.

'What? It's impossible. Human, just because you gave me a Primitive stone, it doesn't mean I will follow you everywhere.'

After hearing Ajax's words, the spirit crane looked at Ajax for a moment before shouting in his head.

The thing is, as long as Princess Daphne lives inside the royal palace, no harm would come to her. At least that's what the spirit crane thought.

So, she scoffed at Ajax after hearing his words regarding the danger for Princess Daphne.

”Okay...I will directly come to the point.”

Ajax was not disappointed after hearing the spirit crane's reply because he knew that his contracted spirit beasts might kill if someone asks them to leave their master to follow him or her.

Compared to his spirit beasts, the spirit crane in front of him was mild in nature. So, she only said a few words in anger.

As for Ajax, he started saying, ”Earlier, you met the crowned turquoise queen, right? Along with her, you also met another spirit consciousness who has the same bloodline as you.”

'What? How did you know?'

Spirit Crane was shocked with Ajax's words and hurriedly asked him.

'I am coming to that point.'

With a serious look on his continued, 'I don't know how but I was also pulled into that unique space and maybe I was next to you, the young lady sitting on the throne gave me a mission to protect you for the next six months.'

Ajax just created a story with everything that happened around him previously and he made it in such a way that the spirit crane started to believe his words as she carefully listened to Ajax.

'I understood now. Sorry for the earlier misunderstanding. I thought you wanted me to become your mount.'
