Chapter 50 - Luna Jiang, I Really Like You (1/2)
Recently, Jasper Mo's thoughts were filled with the woman he'd left behind, his expression and feelings getting more and more unsettled the more he thought about Luna Jiang. He first met her when she helped him to go to the nearest hospital using her old bicycle because of a severe stomachache.
Since then, they'd become friends; eventually, he wooed her to become his girlfriend.
”Luna Jiang, I really like you.” Jasper Mo's smile was as radiant the sun, enough to make any woman fall on his charm. Yet, it made Luna uncomfortable. She didn't think one bit that she was beautiful. What did this chap saw in her, ah?
Luna hesitated to agree first, thinking that an heir like him was like the rest of the young masters who only know how to burn their family's money and play around with women. It took Jasper three years to make Luna say yes, and they'd been together since then.
Now, Jasper Mo didn't think he still deserved Luna Jiang after what he'd done. Clenching his fists at his side, Jasper took deep breaths to calm himself. Aiko had taken advantage of his weaknesses and had made him touch her that night.
He shut his eyes and cursed himself. This was all a mistake, but it was his own fault anyway.
Jasper heard his name being called. He then followed his mother's ȧssistant out, only to see the woman he'd been thinking of with Joanna Li and Jasmine Xuan. He shocked to see her so beautiful tonight.
The dress Luna was wearing might look normal, but for someone with a keen eye, it would be easy to tell that the dress cost a fortune.
Where did she get the money to pay for it? Did her relationship with the Jiang family improve during his absence?
Why did it seem like the time had stopped?
His eyes then darted to Aiko who was walking towards Luna. He knew what Aiko was planning, but he could only grit his teeth from frustration. It was really a mistake that he agreed to his parents to take Aiko as his ȧssistant.
Not only was Aiko an inefficient ȧssistant, but she'd managed to ruin his relationship with Luna Jiang with ease.
If it wasn't for this woman, then he and Luna wouldn't have to part ways like this!
Seeing Aiko now with that sarcastic grin on her face, Luna's hand was itching to slap it away.
'No,' she told herself. She'd only hurt herself if she slapped this woman, but that didn't mean she'd give Aiko the satisfaction to play her like a fool again. Ah, her eyes must have been blind before, but now, she could finally see things clearly.
The betrayal hurt her indeed, but Luna knew she was better than this. As Aiko moved closer, Luna cleared and sorted her thoughts.
Joanna frowned while Jasmine's smile faltered when they both saw the same woman they were anticipating to see.
”Hello, Miss Li, Miss Xuan.” Aiko greeted the two women before turning her eyes to Luna. ”Oh, Luna. I'm glad you're able to come today. I'm sure Jasper would be ecstatic seeing you here.” Her tone had a hint of ridicule that wasn't lost to Joanna and Jasmine.
