Chapter 16 - Make someone Jealous. (2/2)

The King almost spat his tea and the Queen giggled at the sight. They were watching the little kids walking on the gardens while they were drinking tea on the balcony with some Ministers.

Anne was sending sweet smiles at Henry and he was giving her a sincere and shy face.

Julian, the King, never thought that such flirtatious sight would enter his eyes from his young nice. The little kid should be repudiating the marriage, or more like acting like a little indifferent and a crazy evildoer, not like a shy maiden.

He had never walked with her around the gardens, and she had never sent him such a happy smile.

”This is scandalous!”

He was about to walk over to them but the Queen stopped him.

”Darling, where are you going?”

”To stop that little… that little player enticing our innocent Princess!”

”…”

The Queen had to show him her beautiful but a bit fierce eyes to stop him from moving.

”I… but…”

”Weren't you the one that decreed the engagement?”

”Yes, but…”

”Then, let's them have some fun, they are kids, they won't go any furth… er”

She said that but Anne had already proclaimed the cheek of Henry again with her lips as her property.

The King was about to have a heart attack.

”Are you sure this will work? How can someone be jealous of me with this?”

”This… I think if we keep trying someone will fell.”

The shy little boy was looking around sending warning gazes to the other's son of the Ministers. Their gazes were now lowered in resignation.

”Are you sure?”

”Maybe another ki… kiss.”

Anne fluttered her long lashes and thought for a minute, she was about to give him another kiss when Tia tapped her shoulder.

”Miss, this is your cookie.”

”What?”

”Your cookie.”

”Excellent! But, who was the one?”

Anne looked around but couldn't distinguish the stare of anyone.

However, there was someone, she didn't notice a minute before, but the stare of that someone was filled with bad thoughts and jealousy. The same feelings of someone with a long time resentment.

Anne wanted to know that person as they were the most dangerous ones, the ones she should dig out before it is too late. She had experienced that hatred once and now she couldn't lose to it, not again. Those feelings could provoke many casualties without care for anyone nor anything just to prove their superiority. Jealousy can corrupt someone's heart and there was almost no cure for that disease.

”Goodness, why I must be so great... even Mellie likes to give me cookies without doing nothing.”
