Before leaving the villa, Old Tang made an unexpected request.

”Master....” Old Tang stood before them with a guilty face: ”It's enough that you are kicking Shen out of the Xiao Family, but for Zhe's sake, please reconsider. She is still young and insensible! Hereafter she will be entirely my responsibility. This will be my last ever request to the Xiao family.”

Over and over again, Jing Zhe kowtowed and banged her head hard against the tough and cold marble floor. ” I… I'm begging you, please let us off! Please… please! I will disappear from your sight and will never appear in this City.”

For Jing Zhe, reputation and money were more important than her dėsɨrė for Yue Xiang so she made the same promise over and over again.

However, Elder Xiao, who was beginning to get a major headache, ordered his ȧssistant Hong to toss them out and never let them enter his Xiao home. His reply to Old Tang was short and to the point: ”She may be your granddaughter, but I can't overlook such an atrocious act; destroying someone else's daughter. Now, get out of my house, you are not welcome here!”

Old Tang's face was drained of blood and she stared vacantly at Elder Xiao. Reluctant to concede, she murmured his name full of emotion, ”Xiao Yang.....”

How could he treat her this way?

He was completely undermining her value, her everything!

Elder Xiao turned his back and knocked his stick twice.

Advisor Yu and Mr. Hong came forward and gestured her towards the door: ”Please, don't make any more scenes.”

Jing Zhe's heart ached at the defeated look on her grandmother's face. Yet with no other choice, she hung her head low, concealing the resentment and rage in her eyes.

They both left the Villa silently before getting kicked out, in order to save the last bit of their reputation

After the grandmother and granddaughter left the Xiao family villa, the atmosphere stayed neutral and some darkness clouded the Elder Xiao's face.

Yue Wan had long expected that things would turn out this way. She was simply giving Jing Zhe a taste of her own medicine by jeopardizing her link with the Xiao family, the same way it had happened in the past.

Xiao Ran pinched Yue Wan's ear and exclaimed: ”You used us as a stage for your play!”

Not angered by her actions at all, Yue Wan hissed and said: ”I never intend to do this. She was planning to use the Xiao power to resolve her problems, probably by framing me. That's why I foiled her plans.”

Yue Xiang pinched her free cheek: ”Next time try to communicate with others instead of stirring up trouble all by yourself.”

Little Bao made some hissing and used his cute paws to scratch Yue Xiang's wrist to protect his mommy's cheek: 'You're hurting mommy.'

Feeling pain on his wrist, Yue Xiang stopped his act and lifted Fatty in the air.

With a blackened face, Yue Xiang glanced at him coldly and stated: ”Your nails are getting trimmed tomorrow.”

Little Bao couldn't help but groan inside. Where did his Uncle sell off his brilliance? He doesn't even appreciate my nails' masterpiece! Humph! Dumbo!

At that time, Elder Xiao placed all of his attention on Yue Wan and said: ”I wish to speak to you alone. Follow me to the study.”

Yue Wan knew she went overboard twice by using Elder Xiao, as certain things were not meant to be said out loud. She did not expect that such an intelligent person like Xiao Shen would commit such a foolish mistake.

Without a word, Yue Wan followed him, clenching her fists to control her nervousness.
