Yue Xiang sighed in annoyance as he spoke up, ”Hippo is here.”

Xiao Hua grunted as he repositioned himself on the bed. ”You sure are slipping if your tail is able to be followed by that baka.”

”Why did you go out alone after knowing that danger waiting for you? Even if the attack is meant for Ye Xian, the one who gets hurt is you. You dumba**.”

Today dinner idea was planned as the opportunity to reveal Xiao Hua's true identity to Yue Wan. As such, Xiao Hua made a reservation in his own private hotel and created a romantic candlelight dinner for two. However, just as he was to pick Yue Wan up, he was attacked from the dark.

I'll resort to every means to make her happy, even if it means that I need to stay far away from her or to give up the Xiao.”

Xiao Hua had been refraining from bringing up this for the past few days, but to Yue Xiang's surprise, Xiao Hua mentioned it first.

”What about your revenge for your parents. Are you going to give that up? Soon you will lose all of your willpower to revenge and allow love to make your heart go soft. At the end of the day, you'll end up harming yourself along with my little Wan!”

Because that's what happened to Yue Xiang's birth parents. His father knew of the existing problems within the family as people fought for power. However, he just could not bring himself to pull the grass out by its roots and get rid of all of those troublemakers at once. Instead, he tolerated them again and again until the final moment when… he did not manage to take action in time and those people managed to kill his wife. Yue Xiang stuck out his index finger and ran it across the glass in the French windows before him. With each stroke, his long slender fingers looked composed and elegant. Yet, it gave one the feeling of terror, as if he had hidden boundless intentions to kill.

”Xiao Hua! Give up on Little Wan and return back to your cocoon.”

Turning his gaze up, Xiao Hua's low, heavy and clear voice was much colder than before as he replied ”No!! I won't ....Unlike your father, I won't hesitate to kill those who try to harm my love. Regardless of what method I may use, I'll do whatever it takes to get rid of anyone or anything that threatens her safety. With the power I possess, I can protect myself and the person I love. I won't let Little Wan be in danger; not even the slightest bit.”

There was a strong sense of confidence in his words and the air around him was filled with untouchable oppression.

Yue Xiang was suddenly at a loss for words. He stared at his buddy in shock. 'Huh?!' He didn't expect this answer from Xiao Hua. ”Little Wan is very fragile and soft compared to how you are, so tough ruthless, mercenary, cruel, and despicable, and hard. ”

Xiao Hua's lips curved into a smirk. ”Actually… being tough for your loved one is also a quality that men should possess. Also, girls love bad boys more these days. A single dog like you won't understand it.”

Controlling his urge to kill this jerk, Yue Xiang slapped his forehead. 'It might not be a bad thing for this Wolf to treasures someone! But, why does it have to be my Little Wan!?!'
