”Aye! I was so concerned about you and rushed here and yet you guys are making me work under this weather. You both are heartless.” Lin Xu whɨnėd as soon as he entered.

Yue Xiang cleared his throat. ”Amidst your lazy schedule, you finally worked in real life. You should be grateful that I am not punishing you using Military rule.”

Xiao Hua nodded thoughtfully. ”The Devil has a point— You are so good at lazing around and trying every means to avoid work whenever possible. So this is a good punishment.”

Upon hearing that last remark, Lin Xu roared: ”Hey now, what do you mean by that? I'm not that lazy!”

Yue Xiang nodded his head, ”Lazy and slothful.”

Xiao Hua ċȯċked his head as a thought came to his mind. ”Better change your name from Hippo to Sloth, it is more suitable for someone like you.”

Hearing those remarks, Lin Xu was practically breathing fire through his nostrils. How could they disregard him like that? He continued to bicker. ”I am not Hippo!! That's it. We are divorcing. Hereafter I won't stay with you. If I did! You can slap me with your ugly and smelly shoes.”

Xiao Hua and Yue Xiang raised their eyebrows with a thought of slapping him now: ”Okay!” They said with perfect synchronization.

Lin Xu muttered under his breath; ”Upon wearing the military uniform you yell like a military dog and removing it becomes a thug. Bully! Always hurting my innocent heart.”

In that instant, the eerie and cold surroundings turned into a fairytale place, with Lin Xu as Cinderella being bullied by two stepsisters; Yue Xiang and Xiao Hua.

Yue Xiang and Xiao Hua snorted, ”Sorry to spoil your imagination, but it is indigestible to see you in that character.”

Tears twinkled down the rim of Lin Xu's eyes as he mourned: ”Ahhh!! We were once best buddies, but from this day onwards we are enemies! Enemies! Even if you beg me with sincerity, I won't be coming back. Fat chance of that!” He turned his back on his one time friends and started to walk towards the door.

At the exact moment, Housekeeper Huang knocked on the door twice and came in with the fragrant nourishment soup and hot dinner for the guest.

Yue Xiang gave an annoyed look at Lin Xu and raised his eyebrow with an expression of 'Why are you still here?'

Lin Xu's eyes flickered to the food on Housekeeper Huang's hand. Licking his lips repeatedly, he blabbered nonsense with a 180 degree change in his attitude. ”Ahhsss..., Xiang dear, I am just fooling around! You know me, today we fight and tomorrow we will be together, after all, that's what best friends are for.....etc... etc” His voice volume proceeded to diminish to mute.

Yue Xiang might lose the last bits of his senses upon hearing Lin Xu's stupidity. 'I should've kicked him out of the house while I had the chance!'

Xiao Hua could smell the bitter and strong medicinal scent of the blood nourishment soup and furrowed his elegant brows slightly. He ordered Housekeeper Huang to be place it on the table and leave.

When the Devil and the Wolf remained cold and unresponsive to his words, Lin Xu shifted his attention to the table where the hot food was placed by the housekeeper. He sneakily went near it and forgot about everything around him as the delicious scent wafted up to his nose.

Looking at Lin Xu's action, a snap formed at Yue Xiang's head. He scoffed: ”There should be only two people in this whole wide world, including him, who could be any more shameless I have ever seen.”
