Chapter 23 - 23 Aftermath (1/2)
The chaos which wrecked around the Allens Mansion since late-night has finally calmed down. The situation has returned to normal.
After the final killers escaped the area, and the sweeping of the guards to make sure all is well and good, and there is no trap or bombs left by them on their escape.
The sweeping of the area took about five hours to complete after which the green signal is given.
A few hours after the incident was over, all the people who are directly or indirectly related to this matter were aware of the happening of the attack.
Terrence is together with Daphne and Thomas to get the complete report of the losses they suffered and how extensively is the mansion affected in this entire ordeal.
James is there to report all this to his boss.
” We have about 26 deaths in our ranks, 53 serious injuries with some crippled for life and others need a few months time to completely recover.”
Terrence silently listened to these and asked his advise, ” how is our current situation? What do you think we should do now as my Security In charge ?”
James mushed over everything which can be done to help them. ” We have suffered serious losses in this night ȧssault. About a quarter if our forces are down and it will take a lot of time to recover from these losses.
What we can do now is to fill our ranks once more. With them back in order, we can slowly deal with our other problems. ”
Thomas is the one who inquires his uncle this time, ”How long will it take us to reach our past state again?”
James turns to look at his friend's son and replied, ” If there is no problem or similar cases, we can recover in about a year's time.
But, even then their combat ability will not be up to par. They all are green and will take time to reach the level our guards have before the ȧssault.”
Terrence has only one hope, that is, to recover his losses as soon as possible and enjoy the immediate gains which he is awarded after surviving this.
But all these required a certain level of strength to be on his hands. If he is weak, he cannot digest all of them and must share it with others.
” Do you think I should show my hands a little, dad?” Thomas asked his father on whether he should let some TX out and deal with the bugs who may try to snatch their meat.
” no need. We can deal with these insects later. We cannot be too greedy. ” after saying this to Thomas, he turns to James and ordered, ”Issue a word, we want a certain percent of the things they eat, and if they don't then they must be dealt with.”
Thomas understood that his father is trying to say. He wants to have some younger brothers who will do the dirty work for their groups. Every rich corporation have some goons who can be helpful and his father have some too.
Since they are on the verge of expansion, they will need more people and these incentives will help them attract the forces.
Similar to how the Allens are the killers from the leviathan too are having a meeting now.
A beautiful woman sat on the leader seat and listened to the report her underling has in his hands.
This report is related to the events which have happened in the Allens Mansion.
She calmly listened to everything he has to say and didn't interrupt him, though the twitching of his fingers, as well as his eyes darting from the papers on his hands to his leader in front from time to time, showed just how nervous he us now.
