”Ouch” Lucien mourned as he rubbed his reddened forehead.
Yanking his eyes open the first thing that came to his view was his current stats.

”That fall must have left a mark” Lucien groaned the moment he saw the 7 health points left.
His entire body ached like he had gone through rigorous exercises, forcing him to confess that forging was no easy work.
”Welcome back Master Lucien… How do you feel?” The Crux voice echoed from all corners of the room, causing Lucien to frown.
”I feel like crap… what about you?” Lucien snarled as he silently prayed that the Crux would just disappear.
'I already have one being watching my every move and making me feel uneasy… I don't need another' Lucien was referring to the terrifying blue reptilian eyes within the system.
After his conversation with the system in the class, Lucien was sure about one thing, the system cannot be trusted. Judging based on his understanding of their previous discussion. The person who created the system must have been an extremely powerful figure than caught the attention of the world due to the alarming rate of his growth. Threatened by the constant increase in strength, several powerful figures had to join hands to defeat it and ultimately kill it.
Since it's a beast-man capable of creating the system, Lucien was pretty sure that the creator of the system was definitely powerful but the question now is how powerful?

The system suddenly spoke up, startling him a bit. This also confirmed one of his greatest fears, now he and the system are combined, he is unable to hide his thoughts from it. Laying down and shutting his eyes, Lucien ignored the system and focused on the issue at hand. A lot of the images that flashed through his mind while the system was trying to impact the knowledge of forge mastery were too blurry so he couldn't understand a lot of things. But one thing he was sure of was that the creator of the system reached the realm of the God beasts and maybe even went beyond. Upon defeat and when it realized death was imminent it must have created the system and sealed its consciousness into it, probably hoping to possess the host of the system and start a new life!

'Host?' Lucien frowned as his eyes returned to his information panel.
The system used the word 'Host' before his name, giving away its intentions. Something told him his deductions were on point and that explained why the system is yet to say anything! The god-beasts original intention was to completely consume the life force of whoever found it and then take over the host's body!
But why didn't it work on him? Why is he still in charge?
'A defeated God fled to the land of mortals and when the other gods uncovered his plans, they sealed him away, and to break the seal it used its power slowly weakening the barrier and itself' Lucien made a general assumption based on the general information he had acquired by taking part in the operation.
According to Emperor Fei, the barrier was so powerful, even he couldn't break through it, forcing him to leave. He could also remember that below the black water pool was something that seemed like a whole new world, with technology, so advanced that not even the Emperor that has lived for over five centuries could comprehend this. All that must be the handwork of the creator of the system.
”A true genius” Lucien muttered as he sat up and kept pondering on the matter.
The system must have failed to possess him because it was too weak after dispelling that barrier. It must have been in a hurry, that's why it chose to spend even more energy to heal Lucien and take his body. It was more like it was running from something or someone.
[You are digging too deep boy… What do you think you are? Special? You are nothing special! Do you hear me?] An enraged voice echoed in his head but instead of making Lucien feel anxious, he laughed lightly.
”You are like a big baby throwing a tantrum… I don't give a fuck about your identity… I don't care about your past or what you did… From the images I saw, your actions brought about change in this world and I see nothing wrong with what you did… people fear power… They were scared of your brilliance so they chose to kill you… you feel betrayed and I can sense your urge for vengeance… And that's why I am here… I want to help you…” Lucien said with a stern look on his face.
