Chapter 61 - Athena Vs White Crystal Puppet!! (2/2)

Athena and puppet continued to meet punches until she gave the puppet a kick towards its ċhėst, it blocked by crossing its arm across its ċhėst but it was still sent flying away before regaining its posture. The puppet then shot a barrage of Ki blast toward Athena and she dodged them all with ease.

”Haha, your aim is terrible! Are you blind?” Athena ridiculed seeing that the puppet missed every attack. However the crystal gem of its eyes glinted, it seemed to be smiling but not smiling at the same time. Kayn could see what was going on right away since he was the one who made this puppet.

”You better pay attention!” Kayn said.

”Huh!” Athena looked back and could see tons of ki Blast in the air standing still, they were in the same spot unmoved, this could be no other attack but the Hell zone grenade! The puppet slammed it hand together and the Hell zone grenade Ki Blast slammed into Athena all at once. An explosion shook the battlegrounds creating strong winds and many shockwaves. Kayn shook his head, he knew that hell zone grenade was one of those sneak attacks that no one would see coming, so he couldn't blame her.

The smoke soon cleared and it revealed Athena who was surprisingly still okay. She had a barrier around her, she had managed to form it just in time before the attack hit her. ”You damned puppet, I see you like to play tricks!” Athena was angry. ”Heat Cannon!” Athena shouted as she shot a redish orange beam toward the puppet, it easily dodged as the attack flew pass the puppet, hitting the wall. Fortunately, these walls were built for this and could take just about any hit coming its way.

When she shot off her attack it was just meant to distract the puppet, soon she arrived above the puppet and kicked it in the face. Surprise flashed through its crystal-like eyes as it was sent flying toward the ground like a torpedo. The puppet had fast recovery and shot out the ditch and toward Athena in a flash. They started punching a kick toward each other at rapid speeds, shockingly Athena was good at close-quarters combat. The puppet couldn't match her hand to hand combat skills and it seemed to have noticed it as well. It had taken several kicks and punches to its body that Kayn could visibly see cracks on it.

”Oh, your backing away, I guess you've noticed that you're no match!” Athena looked satisfied seeing the puppet back off. However, this puppet was created for its trickery, it immediately used a galactic donut and threw them towards Athena. Athena didn't know what this attack was and didn't want to see what it would do, so she decided to run.

”Damn, what the hell are those 3 rings supposed to do to me?” She was a bit irritated being forced to run like this. ”Forget it, I can't run like this forever.” The rings followed her wherever she went and they seemed to be gaining speed. So she stopped and focused her energy into one of her hands for a bit and formed a Ki whip, she could only maintain this whip for a certain amount of time before it started to tire her out.

”Oh, this may be over.” Kayn looked at the condition of the puppet and felt like Athena was going to win this fight for sure. Athena put the whip away since it was starting to take its toll on her, she didn't stop there a punched the puppet in the face, cracking one its crystal eyes on its face.

”This is for showing me disdain!” Athena kept punching it until it fell to the ground and landed in the arena. ”Hmph, this is over, I am the winner!” Athena was ȧssured that this was her win. However, the puppet hovered upwards, clearly showing that it could still fight despite its terrible condition.

”You still want to fight me with no legs, are you insane?” The puppet didn't say anything and readied its hands for a fight. ”Good, let's see what you can do as you are now!” Athena rushed toward the puppet again, however, the puppet teleported. Athena was stunned, she remembered Kayn using such a move to teleport away without a trace. The puppet appeared behind Athena in an instant.

”To slow, you think you can sneak attack me!?” Athena turned to attack the puppet but it suddenly opened its hand wide and put them next to its eyes. A bright flash shot out, this was clearly solar flare and Athena was immediately blinded by the technique.

”You! I can't see!” Athena covered her eyes in shock, she was blindsided by the move. The puppet had used th full force of solar flare on her. The puppet then began to chant something in a low voice as it powered up an attack, it was the Kamehameha Technique! The attack was fired off with all the puppets might, Athena had managed to come out of her blindness at that moment, but it was too late.

She used a barrier to protect her at the last minute, but it was the last minute. Anything that was done at the last minute usually failed since there was really no effort and it was rushed, this was one of those situations. The blast slammed heavily onto her Ki barrier and Athena was blown back, she flew out of the ring and slammed against the wall.

She had lost the fight, just like that!

Athena got up from the ground, her armor was ruined from the attack. She couldn't believe the tricks of this puppet, it was simply too shameless that she was angered half to death just thinking about it.

”No! This is impossible, I want a rematch!” She could once again see the disdain in the puppet crystal-like eyes, it made strange sound as if it was taunting her. She was about to rush toward the puppet again in anger until she was stopped by Kayn.

”Dang, it!” Athena was still furious that she lost. She lost in such a poor way and was even disdained by a puppet for goodness sake. Kayn could understand her frustration, he had given the puppet such a personality, the puppet he fought last time was given a random personality since he didn't give it one or block it from having one back then.

”It okay, we live and learn. You have quite a bit of weakness I would like the tell you about first.” Athena calmed down and nodded as to listen to Kayn advice.

”The first weakness isn't really a weakness but when you see it failing to work, you should stop it.” Kayn paused and continued ”Number 1, you talk too much, your mouth was running the whole time nonstop.” Athena's mouth twitched hearing those words but she could refute, she did talk a lot.

”Number 2, you need to pay more attention to your surroundings when fighting. That hell zone grenade could have easily taken you out if the puppet was more advanced with the technique.” the puppet ki blast gave off fluctuations so she was able to notice it at the last minute. If it had been more advance, she would have been successfully sneak attacked by it.

”I understand!” Athena nodded and said. She recounted that was another moment when she was talking shit and her face flushed just thinking about it. She wanted to ask about this hell zone grenade attack but would wait until later to do so, it seemed like a cool attack that she would like to learn.

”Number 3, your Ki control is garbage and you seemed to be better at fighting hand to hand rather than anything else. We'll need to work on that as well because hand to hand can only take you so far.” She wouldn't be able to handle forces like Majin buu with just hand to hand combat or any high Regeneration being, she would need ki attacks to completely destroy these types of opponents.

”I..I, this is true.” Athena knew she wasn't good with ki like abilities and found many opportunities to get close and in person with her opponents. She drained ki fast as displayed when she used her ki whip, she was afraid of running out during a fight and rarely used Ki attacks. Athena would only use them for distractions or when she really needed them like what she did to the galactic donuts.

”Okay, we'll be using a gravity training machine with some special training for your Ki control.” Kayn would either have to let her experience the hyperbolic time chamber or some serious gravity training, he wasn't so sure yet but he would figure it out soon enough.
