Chapter 374 - Missing Knight (2/2)

”Well I did say you deserve a break. But unfortunately right now we have another problem in our hands.”

Problem?

Once the general explained the details to her she was in disbelief. ”Disappeared? Pupillam?”

Shioka nodded. ”It happened yesterday. After she saw the Prince there was a warning. During that time period we were all of duty except Masoka, so the two went together. However, after arriving at the scene, there was nothing there. No individuals even lived in that area. They were about to just head back when they heard a scream, Masoka rushed to the source of the voice.  But for some reason Pupillam didn't follow him. He rushed back and saw that her communicator had been left there. ”he explained.

Pupillam went with Masoka ? Lyn was having a hard time picturing the scene. Or rather from what she had seen from her guards actions. She didn't seem to be fond of males.

Something like this was already normal. She always flinches whenever anymore hands her a report...So going to the sight with Masoka? Something didn't seem right here. What's more that man is under King John right?

Pupillam told her that she would undergo a secret mission. But Pupillam didn't think she meant this. How troublesome..

”Princess Lyn? Hey are you listening?”

”Ah yeah”

The black haired male sighed, ”Though you've matured since you last year. Some things don't change I see.”

Lyn let's out a small chuckle, ”Well I'm still me”

She is still her, despite everything. It didn't take long before they reached the meeting room. The people in the room were the usual.

”A knight going missing again....is it that person?” The one who addressed this issue was a man with short navy blue hair.

”That's the likely conclusion. Isn't he still after our weapons?”

Lyn shook her head and intervenes, ”That's not it. That man has already achieved that goal from that case. It's hardly likely that he will randomly kidnap Pupillam for her weapons. Since that was the case with the first crime... He has somebody else already, someone who is willing to obey his orders and her actions are still being approved by the Empire. There's no need for that man to set his attention on another person, when he as a useful pawn.”

Or rather...this doesn't seem to be that person's doing at all. There us something more sinister about all of this. ”When did she go missing?”

”Around 1pm in the afternoon. We were in the abandoned ward area,” Masoka explained.

The abandoned ward? There is no guards scanners there. So how come an area stress level warning was issued there? Its strange, something about this doesn't seem right. Her gaze flickered on to the black hair man
