Asking around the villagers was the best solution she could come up with. If they ask around openly like this, then they will alert the enemy. The enemy will know they are onto them, and that they can't escape. Lyn thanked the old lady before turning away. She could spot Kazuya and Rhys talking to larger groups. Her gaze fell on the skies. 'Snow…' Lyn did hear that in other areas of the Mist Kingdom it snowed. But, who would have thought that she would find one.

How beautiful.. Lyn extended her hand out to catch a falling snowflake. The snow wasn't as heavy as the ones in the Snow Kingdom. But it was snow nonetheless. Back over there, it was hard to appreciate it with everything happening.

Now that she thought about it. Those two from the Snow Kingdom came all the way out here to help her train. But, recently they've been laying low. Arthur, since he came back she hasn't seen him much either. Everybody must be busy because of the dire state of affairs. This case she is working on is only one problem occurring in the Kingdom right now.

Lyn glanced back, since she felt that somebody had called out to her. Was it just her imagination? Her thoughts fell when Kazuya rubbed her hands with his and she laughed. ”Kazuya, I'm not cold. Don't worry.”

”But it's snowing.”

Her gaze softened, he's doting on her so much. Lyn leaned forward and buried her face in his arms. ”Then, we can cuddle. I'll be warmer then.”

Kazuya wrapped his arms around her. ”I do think you require disinfecting.”

Lyn laughed realizing what he meant. Kazuya stayed put and didn't say anything. But, he probably dislike seeing her, hug brother. ”Didn't you say you'd get jealous more openly? Why wait until now hmm?”

”Well, do you really want me to start brooding in front of you?”

”I think it would be interesting.”

He lightly hits her head, ”Silly girl.”

A sudden warmth hit her the moment Kazuya held her. 'So warm.' When she was hugging brother earlier, it didn't feel like this. So, this only happens when she is with Kazuya? Is it because he is her loved ones?

”Kazuya, your warm,” she mumbled. It's comfortable being in his arms like this. Lyn wonders if there will be a time in the future where she would experience such warmth every single day? It maybe delusional of her to think such things. But even then, Lyn wanted to hold onto that faint glimmer of hope.

His hold on her tightened and Lyn felt his lips on her hair. A content sigh escaped her lips. ”Did you find anything yet Kazuya?”

”Your sister is pretty bold. Witnesses have said that she personally came around to influential homes in this area.”

”Ah, so she spoke to all the victims?”

”Right, everybody who died. Lethia visited them before. However,” Kazuya sighed. ”Because her visits didn't collide with the date of suicide. She visited them a few weeks before, so there is no way to tie her to the cases. People brushed it off as a coincidence. You know your sister is the First Princess of the Mist Kingdom. It's normal for her to make her rounds and check on everyone.”

”Usually even if the visits are a few weeks before. Anybody who has interacted with the victims from the past year will be considered a suspect. But, I guess with my sister's status, it is like what you said just now…”

Her eyebrows scrunched up as she thought about it. Sister, probably did this on purpose too. Luring them out to Xi Town. She knew that they would ask around to make their presence known. But, they aren't losing out here. Both sides are equal right now. Who will be the first one to break the balance?
