Chapter 354 - Jealousy is a beast in disguise (1/2)

After having similar conversations with both Rhys and the King regarding Lyn. Kazuya's mind was in a daze; he wanted nothing more than to fall asleep with Lyn in his arms. A deep sigh escaped his lips. She said she would come see him right away. But it seems like Lyn wasn't able to escape that man. Maybe he is being too paranoid about nothing. Look at Rhys, he loves Lyn too, but he isn't behaving in this manner. In fact, Rhys was the one who sent Lyn to the very doors of another guy.

Then again, recently, Rhys has been acting very strange. Kazuya thought that after their talk, things would be okay now.

He finds an intruder in his room.

But a cute one.

It was Lyn; she was searching the room and his belongings with an intense look in her eyes. Kazuya chuckled when he saw her that way.

”I didn't keep another girl here,” he said from behind her.

Lyn whipped her head around and rolled her eyes. ”But you never know, it doesn't hurt to be careful...and brother said some strange things. About how every man here came intending to find themselves a wife…”

Kazuya laughed, ”A wife? I have one?”

”Where?”

He bent down and kissed her lips, ”Right here, isn't she cute?”

Laughter passed Lyn's lips, ”Maybe? Kazuya, I'm sorry for taking so long. Were you waiting for me?”

”Mmm,” Kazuya nodded. ”My only purpose here today was to come here for you. The one participating in those meetings and greetings is Rhys, not me.”

”Ah, so Rhys is looking for a wife?”

”Forget that; you did have me worried. Are you all alright? That guy didn't try to do anything to you, did he?” Kazuya looked Lyn up and down before he spotted something on her neck.

His gaze dimmed, and Lyn quickly placed her hand there. ”It was just a prank, Kazuya! He didn't do anything else..”

”Am I being too lenient on you? How many times had Rhys kissed you since he admitted he loved you?”

Lyn sighed, ”It's not that you're lenient on me, Kazuya. But you're not fighting for yourself. If you love me so much, why don't you fight for me? I know you have a hard time fighting when it comes to your best friend. That's understandable. But other guys?”

Kazuya was surprised about the girl's sudden sharp tone. Since they met again, Lyn has always acted sweet around him. Not that he didn't know about this side of her. Of course, he knew, but it still surprised him nonetheless. Especially since she usually doesn't use this tone with him.

He kisses her cheeks, ”Are you angry, Lyn?”

”Just upset, we haven't met in so long, and yet earlier, you seemed to be in a daze. I even learned from brother that this is a meeting spot for bachelors..”

Kazuya smiled, ”I do think you're cute when you're jealous. But I don't like being accused of things I didn't do.”

”Are you sure you didn't do it? I read in some books..”

Gee, now he understands why the books in her place are censored. ”Forget those books. You managed to sneak away?”
