Chapter 336 - Letter from brother (2/2)
”My brother?”
At that comment, Arthur frowned, ”Teacher, with all due respect that person...”
”That person will pick you up soon, Lyn. If he hasn't seen you yet, then he will come for you.”
”Teacher, you saw my brother? You met with him?” Lyn immediately grabbed the older man's cloak. Normally she would never do this since he taught her that getting worked up was a sign of a disturbed heart. But this is the first time in so long since somebody mentioned her brother.
Lyn didn't know whether she was excited or anxious.
Teacher nodded and reached over to pull something out of his cloak. A letter and a small box. ”This is for your birthday, he said.”
”Oh!”
…
They finished the rest of the tour quickly and headed back to their respective rooms. Lyn spotted Allen's carriage, but she didn't say anything. ”Lyn? What are you doing?”
Oh, uh, right. She asked the teacher if Kazuya could stay with her. It was clear that he wanted to reprimand her, but Arthur distracted him.
Should she show the letter to Kazuya too? But how about if brother doesn't want her to... No, Kazuya is the person she loves. She has to show him. Lyn took it out and explained it to him.
”You sure you want me to read with you? I can leave for a bit,” Kazuya said.
”No, you can stay, Kazuya,” Lyn determinedly opened the letter.
Dear Lyn
First, of all, I'll apologize for disappearing on you.
You must have been concerned after I left for such a long time.
I wish I could tell you everything on this letter. But there is no time.
Rest assured, I 've attached a map here.
In a few days, go to this place, and I shall fetch you.
We can be together soon.
Zepher
It was short and brief. It was clear he wrote it in a hurry. But, it made her feel emotional. Can they be together? She hasn't seen him in so long. ”Lyn, this feels like a trap,” Kazuya mumbled.
”But this is my brother's handwriting, Kazuya.”
Kazuya nodded and bit his lip before he took something out. One photograph was of a man wearing a strange mask. Lyn immediately recognized the person despite the disguise. ”My brother?” she mumbled.
”Yeah, he's the Phantom Thief. He stole that too,” Kazuya mumbled. Lyn could see the anger in his eyes. That item must be very important to him.
”Brother, brother must have a reason. I'll talk to him, Kazuya. I'll get it back for you.”
”Lyn, listen your brother…”
Lyn nodded, ”It's alright, Kazuya, I'll speak with him, and you'll see.”
To her surprise, though, Kazuya's expression seemed to dim even more. Did she upset him? ”Lyn, that man is not blood-related to you,” Kazuya said after a moment of silence.
Eh? What did he just say?
