Chapter 312 - I lost to you (2/2)
”Kazuya, I want to surrender. I want you as my husband.”
”What about Rhys?” Kazuya asked her. ”If you want, you can...”
”No..”
It wouldn't work, no matter what. Rhys, as her husband, is impossible.
Lyn sighed, ”I thought you'd be happy if I told you this. But instead, you're bringing up Rhys again.”
”That's because he's my friend,” Kazuya laughed. ”Well, if you're serious, then okay.”
Huh? What's with that response? Why does it feel like he has the upper hand? How frustrating.
Kazuya laughed, and her cheeks puffed up in annoyance. What's with this person? He's laughing again. She's never met a person who laughs so much, not until she met Kazuya. These days Lyn is starting to think about how much she likes it.
He's an unusual man. Unconsciously Lyn started to grab onto his hand. ”What is it, Lyn?”
”Ever since I was born, there is one thing I remember. A warm hand wrapped against my own. It was clear a vision or something of the future.”
Kazuya blinked, ”Huh, that's interesting.”
”Interesting?”
”Usually, when you hear stories like that, it's regarding fate. If you told any priest or mage they'd tell you that hand belongs to your destined person,” Kazuya trailed off and smiled. ”So, Miss Lyn, what do you think of my hands? You've held them so many times now?”
”It's hard to say,” Lyn mumbled. Something seems different. But the shape of Kazuya's hands and the warmth seem the same. The hand from her memory was covered in scars. 'There was even blood...' Maybe, it's an upcoming sign that Kazuya will get hurt?
She knows that even as she thinks this, his injuries have yet to heal up properly. Watching him now though, it's like nothing is wrong.
”I've been thinking about a lot of things lately. Your dream resembles my own, and I've always thought we were rather similar. My feelings are powerful. I love you a lot. But, I didn't think that was enough, especially during the times we live in. I know this may sound like a bunch of excuses for you. However, the reason why I couldn't tell you right away that I'm serious about this is because I was considering many other things,” she trailed off and laughed. ”Now, I realize that was stupid of me. There is no need for me to consider anything.”
”It seems like you've lost.”
Lyn laughed, ”Yes, I have lost. Lost to you.”
Kazuya pulled her into his arms, ”It's my victory, but why do I feel like I've lost?”
”That's because you prioritize everything regarding me,” Lyn smiled. ”I'm happy to be together with you, Kazuya. From now on, let's work towards that future.”
