Chapter 310 - The beast inside her (2/2)
Lyn felt so calm now, ahh, that's right. She likes this hand; this warmth is so very comfortable. She doesn't want to let it go.
A sudden, sharp pain spread her arm; she lets out a yelping sound of pain.
”Is it that painful?”
She hears a familiar voice, Lyn moves away and sits right up. The person who was right beside her was none other than her boyfriend, Kazuya. But, the moment she saw him. Lyn couldn't greet him like regular, because she recalled what she just did.
How shameful, how could she do something like that? Reiji told her it was in their nature. 'We are selfish beings.'
Lyn ran after Reiji despite knowing that others could have followed her. How could she have possibly risked it, during this time?
Then what happened next..? How come Kazuya is here? Wasn't he talking to sir Morris? Lyn looked at the man puzzled. According
”Um, I.. I,” Lyn could not get any words out since she started coughing. After the first fit of coughs, Lyn began to to speak, but she coughed again.
Kazuya reached over and pulled her into his chest. He patted her back gently, ”Calm down; you don't have to mind. That's right, just calm down. Wait till you have fully recovered, then you can say whatever you want.” His voice is so gentle and calm, it's so very close to her right now.
”K—Kaz..”
”Sssh, my Lyn. Let me first apologize. I keep neglecting you.”
”No..”
He doesn't have to apologize; it was her fault. Because she wanted to be selfish. Lyn hid this from Kazuya, but she heard about the rumors regarding him and her sister.
... It was all because of her jealousy. ”It's because of me.”
The second she saw Reiji, she, despite knowing what the outcome would be, ran to him even though she had been in Kazuya's arms a few mere hours before.
The others must have mentioned it; they must have about Reiji about this mark. And yet even if that's the case, she should not have let anybody else touch her. Is it common for people like them? What type of nonsense is that?
She's the one who should apologize to him. Although she has a faint memory of what happened, Lyn could still recall it.
”It's a good thing I went after you, or else there's no way things could be salvaged..”
How can he still be so gentle to her? He doesn't know how many times she went to Shioka. To gain the strength to she needed, what she offered in exchange. How come he can still treat her this way?
Kazuya frowned, ”Wait, I'll call Rhys,” he gently kissed her lips before drawing back. ”Stay here.”
Why isn't he angry? Why is he always so forgiving?
Why is she the one getting all mad and frustrated about the situation? The one who should be mad is him. She has no right to be angry. How stupid, she is so foolish.
Her thoughts broke off when she felt Kazuya's hand on her forehead. Kazuya parted her bangs. ”Lyn, don't make such a sad expression. Even though I find you cute, no matter what.”
Lyn hits him lightly, and he grinned.
”Alright, don't overthink now.”
”Kazuya…” Lyn started.
'. . .aren't you... going to stay with me?' Those words were at the very edge of her lips. Words Lyn would typically tell him. Whenever it came to Kazuya, she has always been strangely honest, after all. All the feelings she buried away, would unleash whenever she is with him.
However, right now? Right now, she cannot say these words. She cannot say so. Why couldn't say them? Is it because of her condition right now? Her entire body felt incredibly heavy; she really can't move even though she wants nothing more to rush straight into his arms. Lyn, what are you doing?
No, she won't allow it to happen again. She won't, no matter what happens.
