If it's a present, she can't refuse him. Lyn nodded, and a sly smile appeared on his face, ”Pleased, Princess?”

”I'm happy,” she muttered. Father always taught her to appreciate everything given to her, especially because of her circ.u.mstances. While she seldom wore makeup, Lyn liked cute and pretty things just like any average girl her age.

Rhys leaned forward, ”I'll get you more things,” he brushed his lips against her ear, ”When you become mine.”

Lyn said nothing, and Rhys squeezed her hands.

She shuddered as his lips lingered on her ear, what is he trying to do? When she felt his other hand wrap around her waist, Lyn pulled him away from her, and she hits him.

”If you love me, respect my personal space!” Lyn exclaimed, ”A--and why can't you talk normally? Is there any need for you to get so close?” It's because he always gets so close to her, that she always ends up blushing. At least this is what she keeps telling herself, 'If Rhys didn't get so close to her all the time, this wouldn't happen,' Lyn thought. That's right; she should ensure he doesn't get closer.

”It's easy to make you blush, but more difficult to win your heart, huh?” Rhys muttered.

Easy? While it's true that she gets nervous whenever he gets near her, that's simply because he intrudes in her personal space. Anybody would get fl.u.s.tered if someone like Rhys got close.

”Looks like his match is starting.”

Ah, Lyn looked over, and sure enough, Kazuya was stepping into the ring. Her eyes lit up, ”Kazuya looks so cool,” she murmured dreamily. There was something different about him, that serious look on his face and his clothing. 'So handsome,' Lyn thought. It's rare to see him like this.

Rhys sighed, ”Well, even I have to admit, he's different when he steps out onto the field.”

The reason why he let Lyn see that letter was because he wanted her to know what Prince Ereland was planning. It's not just a matter of his position, but her hand is at stake. Word must have reached Prince Ereland's ears about him being her boyfriend, and while the spoilt rich boy could never hope to be her fiance. It seems like he wants to take his chance. Kazuya initially wasn't going to take this tournament seriously, but after reading Prince Ereland's intention, Kazuya changed into formal wear.
