Chapter 79 - Normal Worries of A Sixteen Year Old (2/2)

Kazuya placed his hand to her lips, and Rhys leaned on the door, ”Somebody was there.”

”Positive?”

”Yeah,” Rhys ran his hand through his hair, ”I thought so earlier, but this inn is odd. Perhaps staying here a few days is a bad idea. But if we move around when the Princess is sick, then the situation would surely become worse.”

Kazuya sighed, ”Damn, I should have known she would surround the inn. I shouldn't have gotten her angry.”

Rhys raised his eyebrows, ”So the person you went to meet was Princess Lethia?”

Ehhhh? Lyn looked towards her boyfriend with a somewhat shocked expression, 'he didn't tell her that,' Lyn thought. While it was just a small lie that was necessary, Lyn felt uncomfortable. Kazuya lied about meeting another woman, not just any other woman too - it happened to be another woman who liked him. When Lyn thought about it, she still felt odd about it. Who knew her proud sister, would fall in love? Eldest sister Lethia is always talking about finding the right person, and how these things take time, etc. One of the seldom few decent conversations they had, Eldest sister told her, 'You can't just fall in love recklessly.'

Recklessly, Lyn wondered if that's what her love with Kazuya looked like towards everyone. Despite knowing of their relationship, Allen's parents and other relatives aren't bothered - in fact, the other day they openly brought up the wedding ceremony in front of Kazuya.

In everybody's eyes, her love with Kazuya is something fleeting, something that will not last long. And the sad thing is, Lyn isn't sure herself. She 'loves' Kazuya correct? Otherwise, why would she agree to be in a relationship with him?

Kazuya sighed and nodded, ”That woman is absolutely crazy.”

”What, she forced a kiss on you or something?” Rhys nonchalantly said. Lyn glared harshly in his direction, but Rhys merely shrugged his shoulders. Even as a suggestion, that gave her disturbing thoughts.

”...”

”...”

Sensing Kazuya's silence, Lyn felt her heartbeat sped up. Eh, could it be?!!! Kazuya sent her an apologetic look before he broke it to her, ”Sorry, it caught me off guard.”

Eldest sister and Kazuya did that.

Just the mere thought of it was disturbing, but actually knowing they did it made her feel incredibly upset. She tugged on his arm, ”Better than me?” Lyn asked. While she knew this was hardly the time to act jealous. Her sister has a lot of experience, so it worried Lyn that Kazuya would...

Her thoughts broke off when his face inched towards her, ”It was terrible. I like my cute Lyn's kisses better,” it was just a few words. Words anybody could say, and yet Lyn felt reassured.

Lyn leaned into his hold, ”That's good.”

”Mmmm.”

Just as she was about to ask Kazuya something, Lyn felt somebody's gaze on her and found that Rhys was looking at her intently. What is he doing? Lyn initially chose to ignore him, but when their eyes met. It felt like her heart would stop.
