45 Husk (1/2)

Aein POV-

Hmmmm.... The young master is very odd. Instead of killing the intruder he let her live. After a while I got to see something ridiculous though. She disappeared without a trace. Most beings leave behind residual energy when they are teleported or moved. This though..... It's like she was erased from existence..... That can't be right.

I start using the various observation skills that I have aquired over the years and then I see it. Over the young master, a spider is floating. It is entirely red with only circles of black indicating that it has eyes. It is swallowing the body of that intruder. After a few seconds its body bulges as it gets her down and not long after, an egg is layed. A transparent white egg.

A few minutes after the young master seems to have decided something and, nods his head as the egg changes color and cracks. Just before it hatches the spider turns to me and tilts its head. Malady needs to know of this!!!.....??? What? What does malady need to know? I was watching young master catch an intruder.... After that? Memory modification. How? I must inform malady of this matter. For something to be able to do that to me.... It cannot be good.

”Something modified your memory? Something that resides around Gin..... It.... couldn't be right? Let me check real quick....” Sillith

Malady seems to have an idea of what it could be. She tried to undo the modification but, it seems that the memories were entirely erased. I await her orders as this matter can't be simple.

”It seems that it is not much of an issue, Aein. It should be my old husk. After I obtained this body I had to leave my old one behind. From what I can tell the husk seems to have found it's way to Gin and fused with his class.” Sillith

”Then it is nothing to worry about then. I just wonder how it could have found him so soon. The husk must have fused with his class right when he formed it....” Aein

”Heeee~ I'm not surprised. Only natural instincts~” Sillith

Natural instincts? I shouldn't ask. I would probably have my memory erased again.

”Thankfully, I didn't cut connections with my husk. Now, I can watch from close up heee~..... I still need you to watch him though.” Sillith

She speaks in a weird feminine tone and, then switches back to a monotone one to tell me to resume my duties.
