44 Intruder (1/2)

While reading through the information on vampires, I hear a loud metallic grinding noise. Metal.... Kess? I immediately shoot up and run towards the workzone that Kess has been digging in with Vulki and Xelu lagging behind. When I get there I see a small figure bundled up in a cocoon and Kess with a white scratch mark on her leg. Looking closely it resembles a human but with slitted eyes and scales cover a portion of it's face.

”Gin, we have an intruder!.... I caught her and she scratched a little. Can.... I have it?” Kess

”Tivolk desant Kriltook!” Intruder

Vulki hears this and scowls.

”Translation?” Gin

”You'd rather not know. Nothing of any importance.” Vulki

”????What the hell is a human doing in these parts?” Intruder

I don't get it. it sneaked into this nest and now it is asking what I'm doing here? I can't tell the gender as it's facial features are no help..... Well, thinking on that question, I guess it is weird for me to be living with a nest of spiders....

”I live here. Now what are 'you' doing here.” Gin

”Well, I heard humans are more trustworthy then those fucking drow..... I was a slave that they were going to use as cannon fodder. When they used us as sacrifices for their spell, I hid and managed to escape. Luckily, I had a defect in my collar. Otherwise.... I would be a pile of magic goo.” Intruder

I bring Vulki to the side as the lizard person starts swearing out Kess.

”Do you have any idea on whats this all about?” Gin

”Drow enslave plenty of creatures. This one should be from the 'Union'. I don't know about the specific species though.... I've never seen one quite like that one..... Back to the matter, drow usually bring slaves when they go to war or in their skirmishs. Mainly to use as cannon fodder or sacrifices to use for large scale spells. I'm just stunned that their was a surviver.” Vulki

She confirms that information. What's so suprising about a survivor though. I ask her and she explains how slavery works in drow society. It is either done through a collar or a tattoo. Collars are known to have problems and tattoos are much more reliable. However, certain individuals enjoy using collars for some sick reasons. Collars are apparently very volatile and have been known to choke slaves to death or explode at random times.

Thinking on the matter I bring the others away and leave a few spiderlings as guards.

”So what are your opinions on what I should do?” Gin

It is important to get more input in the matter.
