Ignoring Kess, who's making her spiderlings dance for some reason, I think of my next objective. I probably have to leave this place. More and more of the white webs are being converted to purple and it's giving me a bad feeling. I glance around and see something horrifying....

The arachne queen is decaying quickly. Its abdomen is mostly corroded into goo. 'You see now Kess'

She tries to make her usually screech but her saliva makes it sound gross. She is looking very intently at something and that got my attention. I see a small white gem at the edge of the giant puddle that has been building. Hmmm, do mosters drop gems on death? No, the queen is mostly corroded so it must lie in their bodies.

I'll snatch it up I guess. I gotta wipe off the goo but, it should be fine. I shove it into my most valuable place. My pockets. Now, to go on an adventure gyahahaha! Wait. Where's the exit....

-half an hour later-

After searching with the spiderlings for a bit we found the exit. I like these guys. They are very diligent and, they even salute to me when I address them. Too bad that whenever I don't need them, they go back to Kess. I've seen her do some weird things with them like making them dance or lower their front legs so it looks like they are worshiping her.

Before we go up we may need some more spiderlings. 'Kess can you summon some more spiderlings?'

”Scchreee!”

She seems excited. She does her ritual of rubbing her limbs together and opens up 3 portals this time spewing 15 spiders out total. I might be wrong but I think I saw one of the original ones give them a look of pity.

Now, it's time to leave...

As we make our way up, the tunnel changes from purple webbing to a blue-grey stone. Its a pretty long tunnel which makes me feel bad for the spiderlings that have to carry Kess.... Set has been quiet. She has been transmitting a feeling of satifaction over for a while as well.

As I start analyzing random things again, the spiderlings start rocketing up the tunnel with Kess. Damn it!!! I start chasing then until I reach the exit. As I look outside I see that Kess is munching on a tree.

Why is she so childish.... She's begging to me with all her spiderlings too. 'You can eat fruit, grasses, or mushrooms!!! Not trees!!!'
