Chapter 68 - "Did They Bully You?" (1/2)
Yu Huiyin looked at the woman completely stunned. What was up with her logic, it was so flawed and wrong. At the same time, how did she even have the imagination to come up with this idea, and then be so sure that it was correct?
It was true that Yu Huiyin had not been willing to admit that she was married to Xie Jingyu, but now she was regretting that she did not bring her marriage certificate, so that she could throw it in her face just to annoy her.
”Miss, I think you are quite delusional,” Yu Huiyin wanted to make it in the entertainment industry, so she knew that she should not cause too much trouble at her first meeting with them, but she was quite annoyed by her monologue from before.
This woman was the shameless one, how dare she call her shameless! She had done nothing wrong!
Xie Jingyu also noticed that something was not right, and he hurried to Yu Huiyin's side, only to see her puzzled expression.
”Did they bully you?” He asked tenderly, and Yu Huiyin nodded her head, after which she shook it.
”Not really, but they considered me shameless for latching onto you when I am just a partner you have chosen to open a daughter company for you. Tell me, when did I plan on opening a daughter company for you? Also, why did I not know that I have latched onto you?”
Yu Huiyin answered Xie Jingyu honestly with what the woman had said, she was confused, and her expression also displayed some curiosity.
Xie Jingyu's expression darkened. He had just made her have a positive impression towards him. But now, now, this woman's words might cause her to be hostile towards him again.
Xie Jingyu looked cautiously at Yu Huiyin, his expression worried, making the others surprised.
Although the way in which the woman had phrased her words was wrong, no one present had wanted to stop her. They felt that there was reason in what she said, and even if there wasn't, they had tried to use this chance to check Yu Huiyin's importance to Xie Jingyu.
Xie Jingyu glanced at all the madams that were present, his eyes were cold like millennium-old ice, and the women shrunk their necks back. They dared not meet his eyes.
Many of the men who had asked their wives to get closer to Yu Huiyin noticed that something was wrong, and they hurried to their sides.
”My dear, don't worry about what these unknowing people say,” Xie Jingyu said, as he reached out and wrapped his arms around Yu Huiyin's waist, dragging her into his embrace.
