Chapter 67 - Denial (1/2)

When someone looked that similar, it was likely that they were from the same family, and Yu Huiyin resembled Han Yunfeng so much that it was only natural to think that they were mother and daughter.

Yu Bingqing looked at Yu Huiyin, narrowing her eyes and quickly dispelling the thought again.

Although a voice in the back of her mind was constantly screaming at her, telling her that this woman was Yu Huiyin, she did not believe it, as Yu Huiyin was a poor and undesirable woman. She could not possibly be the attractive woman that Xie Jingyu was so protective of.

It was said that every person had a doppelganger in this world. Maybe this woman just happened to be Han Yunfeng's doppelganger.

But because this woman was so similar to Han Yunfeng, it was impossible for Yu Bingqing to like her. Yu Jingshen was feeling rather complicated, as well.

The reason he was married to Han Yunfeng was because he actually loved her once upon a time. However, his greed and ambition were too overwhelming. He could not control it, so he found Xiao Hualing, and made her fall for him.

He did not like Xiao Hualing, but he liked her background and family. Xiao Hualing came from an affluent family with assets worth around a billion yuan.

She was the only daughter. Hence, all the family's wealth would be hers one day.

Han Yunfeng was not wealthy. She came from a poor background, but she was kind and attractive. She had many suitors, but she had fallen for Yu Jingshen in the end.

Yu Huiyin knew that her mother died because of her father. Although she felt agitated and hateful, her mother had always said that she never regretted her choices in life. Without Yu Jingshen, she would not have had Yu Huiyin and Yu Feihong. Those two had made all her suffering worth it.

Such words always made both Yu Huiyin and Yu Feihong tear up, and they felt immensely loved. Han Yunfeng was truly important to them, not only because of the love she showed them, but also because of how strong-minded she was, even at the end of her life.

But because of her keen mind and her unyielding love for her two children, Yu Huiyin hated her father even more. She also hated Xiao Hualing and their children.

It was because of them, that her mother had suffered as badly as she did; it was they who had destroyed her happiness.

Yu Huiyin pretended that she did not know Yu Jingshen and Yu Bingqing. She did not look at them, nor did she pay them any attention. She was fully focused on the director of the daughter company, with whom she had a lot of things to discuss, many of which she did not have a full grasp or understanding of.

Many of the movie directors came to their table in order to pitch their stories. Some were also trying to converse with Xie Jingyu, but he just smiled and greeted politely, never engaging in the conversation.

As the evening progressed, many of the women, wives, and daughters, headed over to Yu Huiyin's side. By then, Yu Jingshen and Yu Bingqing had left the gathering, knowing that they were just inviting mockery by staying.
