Chapter 33 - Yu Bingqing (2/2)

She was lying on the bed when Xie Jingyu finally returned from the office. The sight that greeted him was Yu Huiyin reclining on the bed. A pillow was behind her back to cushion her, and another pillow was within her arms, she was hugging it like a teddy bear.

When he saw this, a soft and gentle gleam flashed past his previously cold eyes. His entire expression changed the moment he saw Yu Huiyin. He no longer seemed as cold and unapproachable. Instead, he seemed friendly and warm; this was the Xie Jingyu that Yu Huiyin knew of.

”What are you reading with such rapt attention?” he asked with a chuckle, his words finally dragging her from focusing on the phone, and she yelped lightly while almost dropping the phone in shock.

She had been so immersed in reading that she had not noticed him at all.

”I am just reading up on the entertainment industry,” she said casually, not intending to keep her plans a secret from him.

”The entertainment industry?” Xie Jingyu glanced at her, knowing full well of her background. He thought that she would hate anything that had to do with the entertainment industry.

”I am going to enter the industry,” she said with her head held high and eyes glued to the phone. ”I ought to know what I am getting into.”

”You want to be an actress?” Xie Jingyu frowned when he heard this. He had no interest in seeing his wife becoming an actress, but if that was her wish, he was not sure how to decline it.

”No,” Yu Huiyin shook her head, ”I am going to spend some money and invest. When I have saved enough, I will open an agency and slowly grow it until the point where I can ban Yu Jingshen. I want him to suffer a fate worse than Mother's, but it will take some time for me to be able to do this.”

”I can help you,” Xie Jingyu offered instantly, but Yu Huiyin shook her head. ”It is only meaningful if I do it myself. But if I encounter things that I cannot deal with myself, then don't worry, I won't be stubborn but hurry to your side to get some help.”

Seeing that she was not only patronizing him, Xie Jingyu felt relieved and nodded his head. ”That's good,” he said smilingly and went over to pet her head.

”Have you had dinner yet?”

”No.”

”Then let us go down and get something to eat,” Xie Jingyu said smilingly as he tossed the tie away and unbuttoned a few buttons of his shirt.
