Chapter 33 - Yu Bingqing (1/2)
Yu Huiyin was lying on the bed, reading various news about the entertainment circle, and something suddenly caught her attention.
It was about Yu Jingshen's other daughter, the daughter of the mistress he later married, Yu Bingqing.
The article was talking about how Yu Bingqing, the adopted daughter of Yu Jingshen, the famous director, had been acting in various dramas throughout her youth, and now that she was older, her adopted father was investing in a movie solely for her, which he himself was directing.
Reading the word 'adopted' made Yu Huiyin snort in contempt. She was well aware that this daughter of his was not adopted at all, but his blood-related daughter. However, due to the rules of society, he could not admit to it, so he spoiled her and her brother rotten instead.
It seemed that it was happening sooner than what Yu Huiyin had expected. She knew that Yu Jingshen was definitely going to make a film for Yu Bingqing, but to think that he was doing it while she was still studying at drama school was something she had not expected.
But then it dawned upon her. When one was participating in a movie, it would give you bonus points towards your exams. Apparently, she was aiming for a high score by wanting to film a movie in her final year.
Sneering slightly, Yu Huiyin calmed herself down. She was no longer saddened by the difference in favor her father showed to his children; she was just feeling intense hatred towards the man who was her father.
Everything he had done to her mother, she remembered it clearly. Seeing her mother suffer in silence, she could do nothing as she saw her wither away.
This was a debt she would demand payment for from both Yu Jingshen, his new wife, and even the children that they had, as they were one of the reasons for Han Yunfeng to give up so easily.
When she found out that he had been cheating on her throughout their entire lives, she had lost all hope in humanity. The only reason she wished to hold on was to see her two beloved children grow up. But even then, her body could not take the burden and succ.u.mbed earlier than anyone had expected.
This hatred, up until now, Yu Huiyin had been unable to vent it. If it was before, and she read this article, she would have been so furious that she had to go for a drive on her bike to cool off, but things were different now.
She just smiled mockingly at them and then closed her eyes to hide the pain within them from whenever she thought of her mother.
She took a deep breath and steadied her emotions before she took her phone up once more and continued reading.
Even if it was unpleasant, she still had to read it. She was in need of understanding the entire business if she wanted to join it.
