Chapter 31 - New Home (1/2)
”What? You will not be living with us?” Yu Feihong was shocked when he heard that Yu Huiyin was not going to be staying with them; his eyes widened, and he felt a pain in his chest. This was his older sister; how could she leave them alone?
”Don't worry,” Yu Huiyin knew that Yu Feihong was very dependent on her, since they were always together. ”I will be coming to stay over every now and then, and I will be visiting often. It is just that my job requires me to be able to be reached all day and night, so I have been provided with a residence where I have to live.”
Yu Huiyin was not entirely lying. She had to be ready to be summoned by Xie Jingyu at any moment, but that was because of her job as his wife, not because of her job as an assistant. However, this was something she could not tell them now.
Yu Feihong was somewhat appeased when he heard that she would be coming to stay over from time to time, and even more so when she promised to visit a lot, but he still felt a sense of loss.
Yu Huiyin was his most important person. She was the one who had protected him when he was a small child and was bullied by others, then she would come and beat up anyone who bullied him, and later on, she was working hard for him to get somewhere in life.
Yu Feihong took a deep breath to calm himself down. He knew that his sister was doing this for their sake, and he was not going to be so selfish and not to appreciate what she was doing for them.
At the same time, he realized that she was already a young woman. It was only natural that she was going to start living away from home, but he was still nervous. Nervous because he had no blood ties with Old Man Han.
Although he called him grandfather, was this truly what the old man wanted? When it came to it, he had no blood ties to him, but he had blood ties to the man who had destroyed his daughter. Was it really possible for Old Man Han not to hate him?
Yu Feihong was often overthinking things. Because he hated his father, he also hated himself, as he knew that his blood belonged to that sc.u.m of a man.
He did not even know who his mother was, but even if the woman would appear one day, he would never accept her as being his mother. There was only one woman whom he considered as his mother, and although he had no blood ties to her, she was the warmth and happiness in his memories.
It was also because of slowly seeing her succ.u.mbing to her fate, that he hated his father even more.
Yu Huiyin's mother was named Han Yunfeng. She was Old Man Han's only child, and she had been his most beloved treasure.
It was also because of her wishes that he never made things difficult for Yu Feihong at the beginning, and after spending time with the child, he already understood his personality and knew how good a boy he was.
