Chapter 517 - Revenge 518: More Quality Time Together (1/2)

REBORN: Revenge C_J_Taganna 33280K 2022-07-23

”Brother, I think we're going to have a little sibling soon.”

”I'm trying to sleep her, Anna. Don't talk to me.”

The twins were awake since the beginning of their parents' conversation. Aaron wanted to complain that they disturbing his sleep, but he stopped himself when he realized how serious their discussion is.

”Brother, it looks like we're going to be the bait this time,” Anna said as she stared at the ceiling. She doesn't know what to feel about that. She has never been used as bait before, but she never planned to become one.

'I guess the problem is bigger than I thought.'

”Does it really matter? I mean, just like whether or not we're being used as bait, those people will still think of us as some weaklings, it's just like what our mother just said.” For Aaron, using that tactic against their enemy might become the door for their success.

”Those people, the one our mother despises, do you think that they have something to do with our current problem? Or do you think that all of this is Johan's doing?” Anna can't help but conclude that either of the two groups has something to do with the recent events.

If that were the case, wouldn't it be much better to go straight to where the core is? Why are they even wasting their time on things those people set up for them.

”I can't say for sure, Anna. It's hard to say when our parents don't like to share some crucial information with us.” Now that Aaron is thinking about it, the only times their parents do share information is when they are ordered to go on a mission. ”It's kind of unfair of them to do this to us.”

”Mom said that we shouldn't be forcing ourselves way too hard just because we want them to acknowledge us, but the way they are doing things is the reason why we're pushing ourselves.” There is some information needed to be kept, and Anna understands that, but not sharing some of it is only making Anna think that they are not reliable enough to be trusted with whatever information they have.

”That is true. You should say that to our parents tomorrow. We both can't stay silent about this forever, you know?” If they had shared their thoughts sooner, maybe their parents would have been more aware of their feelings.

”I guess that is on top of our to-do list tomorrow, then.”

Anna is about to close her eyes to sleep, but her brother nudges her and says, ”Go to your room. I need my space, Anna.”

Anna frowned. ”Don't you wanna sleep next to me, brother? Besides, you have a big bed. It can fit more than two people, how space do you even want?”

”No. I don't want to sleep next to you, and I don't care if it can fit more than two people. I need space. That means, all of it.” His sister already bothered him earlier. He can't let her bother his night too.

Anna sat up, then she looked at her brother and said, ”Hmph. You changed, brother. Ever since you declared that you will court Nathalia, you don't care about me anymore.” She faked her sobs and still continued on.

”Come on, you're telling me that I have changed? How about you? Ever since you and Kyle officially became a couple, you, too, have changed.” He knows that he should not have said something back, but Anna forced him.

”Now it's on me? How dare you.”

”Well, you started it first. It's only natural that I say something back, now is it?” Aaron smirked. Although he is annoyed by his sister's behavior, it was not such a bad feeling to have this kind of conversation. It has been a while since they have this kind of childish argument.

They see each other every day, but this only made both of them realized that they haven't been spending some quality time together. When do they spend some quality time, there are always other people around them. It wasn't just the two of them.

Can't keep up a serious for much longer, Anna started laughing. ”This is ridiculous. I guess I just want some of your attention, brother.” She honestly said. Being with her brother is way more fun than anything else in the world.

”I'm partly at fault too. As your twin brother who came out first, I should be paying more attention to my dear little sister.” Aaron chuckled, then he put his hand on top of Anna's head. ”I missed you, do you know that?”

Anna smiled. ”No. I didn't know that. How about after class tomorrow, we take our time and have fun? It's been a while, don't you agree?” It might be irresponsible of them to suddenly want to have fun in the middle of a crisis, but keep thinking about those problems will only cause them stress.
