”He has ulterior motives, that's what it is. He's been purposely letting me and my brother go freely whenever we cross paths.”

”If he knew that we were there, then why did he let us go unharmed?” Lucia asked.

”I don't know. Anna and I might be part of his game, but whatever it is, I can certainly say that it's not gonna end well for us both.”

At first, Aaron thought that Johan was only messing with him, but every time he has an encounter with the guy, there is always a smile on that face. A smile that indicates that there is more to this encounter than he thought.

No matter how many times the twins think about it, they just couldn't find the reason. They even got to the point that the reason why Johan is looking at them with such interest is that they are related to the Ricci family.

Being related to those people does have quite an effect on some other people's minds. Their view of you will change.

”Let's go. Our driver is already awake, we can leave now. We'll go directly to where your grandfather is, Aaron.” Ophius said.

Just like what Anna said earlier, they will have to tell their grandfather what happened today immediately. Keeping it to themselves is not going to help anyone, especially them.

”I'm sorry, Young Master Ophius. I didn't-”

”Stop,” Ophius said, stopping the driver from speaking any further. ”It's not your fault, and even if you knew that he was behind you, there is nothing you could have done.”

Whether or not he knew that Johan was behind him, there is nothing that the driver can do. In an instant, Johan could have taken his life anyway. The only good thing about this is that the driver is alive.

The driver's death could have caused more unnecessary trouble for the four of them.

”Mary, look at what I've found.”

Mary and Mike are current in the bas.e.m.e.nt of their target's mansion. They are looking for specific clues that could give them a lead. Now, Mike has found something very interesting.

”Targeting this Mafia family is the right thing, but they are not the only ones. This Mafia family is only half of our current enemy.” Mike said as he showed Mary the contracts and all other important information.

”I see. This is quite an interesting development.” Mary smirked. ”Also, at the same time, I'm quite disappointed with these people. How can they keep such information here in the bas.e.m.e.nt?”

When Mary told Mike to search with her in the bas.e.m.e.nt it was only because she has a feeling that they will find something in here. But to think her 'feeling' was right, she can't help but laugh at the situation.

”Maybe they thought that no one would dare search this part of the mansion, right?” In Mike's opinion, hiding this information here is clever and at the same time so stupid.

The bas.e.m.e.nt is the last place anyone could have ever thought of and the easiest to place to find.

”Let's go. It's time to let these people meet their end.” Mary said in a menacing tone.

That tone gave shivers to Mike's body. It has been a while since he last heard her use that tone. Every time he hears that tone, it always gives him the excitement that he needs.

”Are we gonna let one alive?” Mike asked.

When their targets made an alliance with other people, they usually leave one person alive to tell the other enemies of what happened. That is a way for Mary and the others to send their warning to their enemy.

”Of course. We gotta make sure they are prepared for us. After all, it's not fun they are not prepared to welcome us.”
