”Aunty, that hurts.” It's not his cheeks that hurt him, it's his feelings. For the first time in his entire life that his favorite aunt raised her hand on him.

”Hurts? That slap is nothing compared to the fact that you let me believe that you're dead, you stupid brat!” It's clear in Martha's eyes that she is furious at Arion, and Arion doesn't even know what to say to his aunt now.

He understands that she is angry at him for hiding for all these years, but he just didn't expect that she would slap him instead of giving him a hug.

”Mother, please calm down. You stress yourself like this. If you want I can punch this guy's face just to make you feel satisfied.” Martha's son worriedly said to his mother. Truthfully, his hands have been itching to punch Arion's face.

He and Arion grew up together, and they treated each other like brothers. Just like his mother, he also shocked and had a time believing that Arion suddenly died. But now, Arion is showing his face to everyone, announcing that he is fine and is back.

He is happy to Arion again, however, his anger is getting in the way.

”You may.” Martha is not a violent person, and she hates to see violence happening near her. However, in this case, she will make an exemption. ”Also, make sure it's strong enough to make him groan in pain,” Martha added.

The twins and Mary snickered behind Arion, and Arion heard that. He is about to complain about why they are not saying anything getting slapped by his aunt, but Martha's son did not give him the chance to do so and received a painful blow in his face.

”That really hurts, Jay! And why am I getting hit in the face?!” Arion has no idea how many times he has been hit in the face. He understands that they are angry at him for pretending to be dead, but it does not mean that they should hit him the face.

”Honestly speaking, Daddy. I think you deserve that. I mean, you just made Elder Martha cry.” Anna said, trying to be polite as much as possible. If she has no idea of what her father did, she might get angry at the people who hit her father's face, but since she's well-aware, she understands why they did it and she doesn't mind it.

”Wha-? My sweet princess, how could you say that? I know what I did is unforgivable, but you don't have to be like this to me. It wrecks my heart to hear that from you.”

Seeing his son acting like a little child, Marcus can't help but shake his head. Even before Arion disappeared, there are times that his sons act like a child in front of everyone in these kinds of meetings.

Although he always reminds Arion to not act like, it is still no use. 'When will this son of mine act like how he is supposed to in these kinds of meetings?' Marcus inwardly asked.

”Enough. Let's get things over.” Marcus spoke in an irritated tone. ”Just like Marietta said earlier, there are some people in this room who has a tight schedule, and we can't make them wait any longer.”

”Yes. You are right, cousin.” Martha who finally calmed herself down after seeing Arion getting a punch from her son. ”The one who invited all the family members, please step forward and tell us a good reasonable excuse to acknowledge this meeting.” Just like that, Martha is back to her stern self.

After the twins heard that, they both stepped walked right in the center of everyone. All eyes are on them, it's quite nerve-wracking since this is the first time they are doing such a thing. However, for the sake of their family, they must do this.

Furthermore, this is also their way to show that they have the potential to give their family a brighter future.

”I would like to apologize, Elder Martha. My brother and I both know that you take our family tradition seriously and that we have broken that tradition by having this meeting without grandfather's knowledge or approval. However, time is precious that we selfishly decided to have this meeting.”

Anna has been observing everyone in the room, and she noticed that Martha Cole is someone that her brother and she needed to be on their side. Excluding their grandfather, Martha Cole is someone who has the highest authority in the family.

If they have her as their ally, that means that Aaron will have great support and there will a little less problem proclaiming his right to be the next heir.
