Chapter 288 - Revenge 289: Perfect for Each Other (1/2)
The place they are at now is the famous theme park that most people talk about. It is also one of the most places where tourists like to go to. It would not be a surprise to know that Anna already went to this place.
The only thing that Kyle is not pleased about is the fact that Anna's last memory of this place is the last time she spent her time with her father. He doesn't know what it feels like to miss a father, but he is sure that it is dampening Anna's mood.
He wishes that he could just make Anna forget everything about her father and move on. However, if he does have that ability, he would only be taking away a piece of her happy memories. Those memories she has with her father is a part of her, and he can't take it away from her. How he wishes to tell Anna that her father is in the country and is in hiding for some reason.
He knows that if hides this from Anna and if Anna finds out that he is hiding such information about her father, Anna will surely be angry at him. However, he is willing to take the risk of her getting angry at her rather than putting her in danger. Even without all the details, Kyle can tell that something is going on, that is why he agreed to keep his mouth shut.
”Do you remember everything that you did with your father?” Kyle couldn't help but ask.
”Not really. I was six when he left, but I do remember calling him my hero.” Every memory she has with her father is vague. She couldn't clearly describe her father's personality. Everything that she hears about her father is only stories from the people who know her father, but those stories are not filling up the missing piece in her heart.
She also avoids asking too much about her father because of her brother hating to hear more about their father. Her brother may not look like it but he is a bit too emotional whenever it comes to their father.
Anna and Kyle entered the theme park and as they are doing what they are still talking about Arion. ”What would you do if your father suddenly appeared?”
Kyle's question is very unexpected. It caught Anna off guard. She never really thought about it nor she was hoping for it. She is so used to not have her father by her side that she never imagined the possible encounter she might have with her father.
”Well,” Anna was silent for a minute. ”I think, I would ask him a question of why he left.” Unlike her brother, Anna bears no grudges to her father, the only thing she has is a question. She wants to know the reason why her father left.
Every child who is left by its parents would ask the same question, right?
Kyle was about to say something but Anna cut him off. ”That's enough talking about my father. It's too depressing. We're here to have fun, right?” Anna held Kyle's hand and pulled to the ride that caught her attention.
Kyle only smiled and he let Anna lead the way. Anna is right, they should not talk about sad memories. It's their time together, they should focus on that instead. Those other matters can be handled for another day. What's more important right now is him and Anna being together on this beautiful day.
After riding a couple of rides, Anna and Kyle decided to fill their stomachs. They walked around to search for something they could eat and as they do that they held each other's hand. Some people who they are passing by saw them and they immediately got recognized. Some of those people took pictures of Anna and Kyle, and the media is once again chaotic.
”Do you feel uncomfortable?” Anna asked worriedly to Kyle.
”No. Why do you ask?” Kyle has no idea why Anna is asking him that. How could he feel uncomfortable when Anna is right by his side?
